When is the last time anyone hired a “lawyer” that neither had a law degree nor passed the bar?
As we navigate life without Pat 'Rebarcock.' Flood, who passed on Sept 21, 2025, we continue to remember the profound impact he had on our community. His support was a cornerstone for our forum. We encourage you to visit the memorial thread to share your memories and condolences. In honor of Pat’s love for storytelling, please contribute to his ‘Rebarcock tells a story’ thread. Your gif didn't work but here is my response
Mainly due to scrap being scarce. Why is steel going up?
To add to gas & lumber & everything else.
I laugh every time I see that Generac Solar Battery system for the house. The guy says he saves $500/month on his electric bill. JFC, does the guy live in a 45,000 ft warehouse?Wind and solar should be supplements only.
I laugh at the people who peddle solar panels at Costco and other stores. They say I will save lots of money compared to what I pay for electricity now-although they don't know what I pay now.. But, have no response to the costs for electricity when the monthly solar panel financing charge is added to the outlay. Still have to be hooked to the grid for times when there is no sun or snow/ice covers the panels.
Good. I hope he breaks the bank. Its so infuriating to see twitter act as a publisher and impose their censorship on people because the don't believe the same thing as they do, yet enjoy protection from liable suits. They have overstepped their bounds.Hope this guy is successful and it opens a flood of similar suits against big tech

Hasty generalization in first sentence.
And this is for the group - Degreed engineers continue to be marginalized in the court of public opinion and this will never change until there is a uniform “board” for the common practicing engineer (not talking about Professional Engineering license).
Ive seen it a lot in my 20 year career as an electrical engineer. Now I manage about 60 engineers through subordinate supervisors and am not even technical at this point in my career.
I continue to see engineer dick envy in many circles, though, and I’ve always wondered why it’s so prevalent. Some engineers are assholes, I get it. But, if you haven’t experienced and successfully completed an undergraduate engineering degree, then I could postulate there is more to at least try to understand from the perspective of the engineer. (Engineering grad degree programs are typically cake walks compared to undergrad).
One of my guesses is there seems to be very profound occurrence of people calling themselves “engineers” when in reality they are not degreed as such... MDs have the medical boards, lawyers have the bar, CPA’s have the exam, etc... All of those items, respectively, are required for those professions to operate at the lowest common denominator level... Professional Engineering licenses are not required for engineers...
In any regard, I wished something similar was required for engineers to practice at lower levels. I think that would help the “prestige” of engineering...
In my experience, the most asshole-ish, know-it-all “engineers” weren’t in fact degreed engineers at all... They just had that title. Literally just calling themselves an “engineer”.

My 0.02, FWIW...
Not unusual. I always find apartments where the stove gas burners and ovens are turned on to their maximum, oven door opened, and people sleeping upstairs. Sometimes I have found paint bubbling on the cabinets directly above a burner. Over the years, I have seen 10-15 apartment fires from this practice alone.
“Stupid thought” is more about perspective. I am guessing you don’t really know them personally to determine whether or not they are good people. What a stupid thought. To each his own but what a stupid Fn Thought process. They are good people. So What they like Baylor football and the college. Id wear FSU shit and still support them if the coach went rouge.
Crap, I'd head down to Mar A Lago right now to get in 18 with 45. Would be one of the single biggest events in my life.
Coach ham and the noles will take the acc regular season title after a thorough beat down of Virginia last week. Same amount of conferences losses with a head to head beat down.I would say that this year, you have to go by winning % as some teams won’t play as many games as other teams. Carolina (we aren’t winning anything) has had other teams cancel games on us, which means fewer opportunities.
I think conference regular season this year is irrelevant, to be honest. You can claim a title if you want, but realize this just makes you look like a Kentucky fan. Next up- you will be looking through microfilm at old sports pages from 1920 trying to find more wins to put on your all time record.
