Simple question: Does the college team who wins the most games in conference play win the regular season conference title?

I would say that this year, you have to go by winning % as some teams won’t play as many games as other teams. Carolina (we aren’t winning anything) has had other teams cancel games on us, which means fewer opportunities.

I think conference regular season this year is irrelevant, to be honest. You can claim a title if you want, but realize this just makes you look like a Kentucky fan. Next up- you will be looking through microfilm at old sports pages from 1920 trying to find more wins to put on your all time record.

Great American right here. Great guitarist also!

Video I recorded of Ted. Me along of with my 2 brothers has always loved music. I've been fortunate by the good Lord above cause he knew how much I loved music to get to be friends with some rock stars through my work. By the way I'm just a plumber.

My mom shared a locker with him for 2 years at Redford high Detroit Michigan

Hoops, Pre-covid: The winner of the Conference Tournament gets the auto-bid. It's been left up to the fans to decide who the Conference Champion is - Tourney or reg season - bragging rights for both abound. Clear lee the reg season sets the seeding which can go a long way on tourney byes and opponents for the reg season winner (#1 seed) to also be tourney champ.

Covid: Although still scheduled, my gut feel is that the conference tournaments will be canceled. The auto-bids for the NCAA tourney will be from the reg season champs and at-large bids will go out as normal - see: Bracketology, Lunardi, etc.

Entire NCAA tourney to be held in Indianpolis - various college and HS gyms in the metroplex even starting with the original field of 68. Final 4 in Lucas Oil.
That’s cool. Can you answer my question? 😉

The Big 12 champion is the regular conference season champ. The tournament winner is not the champion, it is the tourney champ who happens to get the automatic bid. Is the team with the most regular conference season wins the champ?

What if the conference “leader” is the one cancelling games two weeks out and may only play 9 games while the second place team will play all 18 games? And the “leading” team is issuing statements like this?
*****
According to several articles by CBS sports and Big 12 commissioner Bill Bowsby, Baylor may not be required to make up all their games, but at least play each team at least once. That means the only team they haven’t played yet is West Virginia and maybe the only game they will have to make up. Baylor AD Mack Rhoades said that Baylor does not intend to skip the Big 12 tourney but would if it will jeopardize their NCAA tourney participation. So basically Kansas may be the only team playing a full slate and Baylor could, if they choose, skip the Big 12 post season tourney. At this time, Baylor plans to participate in the Big 12 tourney.

Oh, and guess who is the “leader” . . .

Just find a store open (has to have power) that sells clay pots, tea candles, and cinder blocks and I guess you are good to go!
a single tealight has an energy output of about 100 BTU/hr. A small space heater, capable of heating a small room, is 5000 BTU/hr. Thus, you actually would need fifty candles to heat the room as efficiently as a space heater, instead of just four. They sell out of heaters so this solution would be something viable but you’d need several to make a difference but at least it would be readily available and is at least safe.

If Baylor (or any school in any conference) is guaranteed a 1 seed or even down to a fourth seed, why would you want to play in the conference tourney and put the NCAA tourney and a possible final four at risk. Contact tracing can take you out in a heart beat. No National championship try and you may not even be infected

Baylor is famous for late season collapses of epic proportions. So they can just declare their 1-seed is in jeopardy so they get to skip the remainder of the season and conference tournament? And still practice and otherwise rest?

I hereby declare the ‘96-‘97 KU team gets to retroactively avoid the first 4 rounds of the NCAA tournament, go straight to the Final Four, and not have to play Arizona because the team had a flu outbreak and LaFrentz, Haase, and Vaughn were playing with 101 degree fevers. 🙄

everything about Baylor is disgusting. Their slimy athletic department. Their fake “Christian” culture. Even Waco is the armpit of Texas. I feel sorry for the people I see wearing Baylor stuff.

Democrats are now worried. Without social media, Trump’s popularity has gone up. More attention is paid to their abysmal Biden administration and Covid mistakes. If I’m Don, I enjoy the break. I’d never go back to Twitter if I were him. He sounded as presidential as ever calling in yesterday talking about Rush. Keep that up, hold rallies where it’s the only opportunity people have to get the message - the attendance will only grow. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

One of my wife’s friends has been here all morning and she’s a huge lib and not one word of politics has been discussed.

I know several libs firsthand and politics simply does not come up in conversation, nor does religion. What’s the point?
They are realizing the BS they believe in and the Morons they vote for to impose these beliefs are not their friends. The rank and file are the first to get shit on when the elites begin isolating themselves from everyone but their immediate cult control cabal..

Right- Covid has fucked everything up. Only thing that matters is the NCAA tourney- put an asterisk by every regular season champ this year.

I have no dog in this fight, but it seems crazy that a team can cancel games and get rewarded for it.. I am assuming (didn't read tooo much of your back and forth) Baylor is the one canceling games? You should not be given a prize for quitting. This isn't for a Nobel peace prize. If Baylor had other teams canceling on them, that would change my opinion.

Ohio State showed them the model.
