It's been 2 hours and I'm still not hearing back from my parents. My sister is now trying to get hold of them.

I do know their power came back on for about 2 hours this afternoon but it went out again when my sister was talking to my mom. Neither of us have been able to get hold of then since about 4:30.
Prayers sent!

Do you know anyone close by that can check on them?

I posted a few days ago about the new Parsons Russell puppy we are getting. My wife found out that the last boy in the litter had not been bought and she felt bad about that and talked me into making her happy, so now we are getting bookend matched Parson's puppies. She swears she is done buying Dooney and Burke purses now. She should be with 20 of them.

Posting my edit about my parents as a new post for those who didn't see it.

Edit: I'm going to kill them. Mom forgot her phone and Dad's is dead. Called their best friend. They're all together at a bar getting tanked.

The triple funeral will be next Friday after they sadly passed from their daughter (and might as well be his daughter) wearing them out from the lecture they only wished they could have laid on teenage me.

Geez... here is my sister and me wrecked with worry and they're getting tanked in a toasty warm bar.

I repeat.... I'm going to kill them. They're worse than my children. 🤣

They're frigging fine. For now. I'll see them Saturday.

I'm seriously equal parts furious, relieved, and amused. And I have their puppy.....

That said, they do not currently have power, so they did listen when I told them to go spend the night at a shelter (their church has power and is open).

And they laughed when I told them we would discuss this when I got there and they should think long and hard about their actions. 🤣

(We're obviously having fun with this now that I know they're better than okay. Tomorrow may b be a little rough. They're a hair past tipsy and going strong. Seriously my parents are cool and hilarious and sometimes infuriating. They love life. And I am very much my father's daughter.)

Now we know that you are a "Chip off the old block"!

Do they bartend on employee day as well :ROFLMAO:

They're getting their drunk on at a bar with my dad's best friend.

This is my chance. I get to lecture them to wishing they were in hell. My inner 16 old self has been patiently waiting for this moment. I'm taking my shot. I may even make them sit up straight while I pace in front of them with a very disapproving look on my face. Can't wait to tell them to wipe that look off their face. 🤣

Seriously, they're okay Still no power, but they'll go to their church. They were thinking of staying in the house until I pointed out they have never been as cold as they will be tonight and I have and they were worried for me and the kids. It's miserable. which is another level of hilarious. I'll be there as soon as the roads clear... looking like Saturday.

Uh no. My dad tips well when he's overserverd, though. I know this because he tipped me $500 when he played in our golf tournament honoring my father in law and I resumed my bev cart 'career ' 🤣

The Olive Open raised hundreds of thousands for MD Anderson and Dayton Children's oncology, each, through the ten years we held the open. I'm the only person to ever drive a beverage cart at Moraine Country Club @Nape.

My husband bought that beverage cart at the auction and we gifted it to DCC with the stipulation that it would be transported to Moraine for the Olive Open.

For y'all that don't know. I met my husband the first day I was on the bev cart and his first day as the new golf pro. I missed killing him by about 5 feet.....And laughed. So did he (his laughter was in relief that he wasn't dead, naturally).

Fun facts! 20 mmbo/d of crude oil are used in the United States each day. 70% of that is used in transportation, and about 50% of that in passenger vehicles. To move to 15% EVs (40 mm total vehicles), would replace 1 mmbo/d of crude oil demand with electricity demand.

Today, with less than 1% of vehicles being EVs in Texas and Oklahoma, power users are being asked to turn their thermostats down to 60 F and we haven’t even seen the coldest weather yet. The result, rolling blackouts. The cause- wind power investment isn’t working today. The turbines are frozen. The wind isn’t blowing.

In California, due to poor forest management and an ever expanding human habitat, during the heat of summer, blackouts occur to prevent forest fires. And all the while - more data is consuming more energy running more servers for the cloud. You want to reduce emissions, take less pictures!

Fun other facts. 8% of CO2 emissions are from cement. 14.5% are from livestock for meat production. And the costs to prevent the temperature increasing 2 F by 2080 are trillions and trillions- based on a model (hope it’s not out of Imperial College Covid modeling school).

So today... let’s thank one of the sources of energy keeping the heat on today. Coal. I love you. Thank you.

She's not done buying anything... it'll just be for the puppies.

Seriously... my husband was like I can't believe I'm giving into this (as he flat out told me to get the puppy).. and now good luck getting snoozy puppies away from him. Endless conference calls all day and he's got a puppy snoozing in his lap. 🤣

About these boating accidents.. I have heard of this happening before, but the question is (particularly for our LEO brothers), isn’t that kind of risky to report something like that? Between my dad, my brothers and myself, we are no doubt on a leftist list of deplorables that give money to Trump and have a shit-ton of 2A stuff. I don’t GAF and I ain’t scurried, but I would like to be as anonymous as possible. But I don’t want to bring fraud charges upon myself either.

If I could legit find a way to disappear all of that stuff from Big Brother’s POV, I would love to. Does anyone else think about this exact subject all the damn time besides me? Seems obvious to me that their plan is to tax people to death if they try to keep their 2A gear. And the ones they can’t tax into poverty they will try and confront in some other nefarious way. Go after their business, their family, etc. We know the dems aren’t above the most depraved of ideas. I just feel that China’s next move is to try and disarm the US populace. Doing so would do 2 things: 1) continue the ongoing schism of our country leading to civil war and 2) further weaken our economy relative to theirs (as a result of 1).

If nothing happens and Biden is POTUS for the next 4 years, I truly believe we will he controlled by the CCP completely by 2024.

I do not think their plan is to disarm us, though they would love that. I believe China, and many of our enemies, are doing their best to get us to tear our own Country apart from within. A civil war would be a great way for them to do this, and they are pushing us that direction hard. They have been playing the long game- infiltrating our govenment, schools, news & entertainment, and just about everything. They have so many under their control now, through blackmail and bribes, that they can really start pushing us hard. They seem to be doing just that.

If they do come for our guns, best of luck. I, and millions of other Americans, will not give up our Rights willfully. I will not register them, if required, nor turn them over if banned. Molon labe you pinko commie mother fuckers!

Add to that, I read last week that 1% of global energy is used to mine bitcoin.

Great data right there

By the way, this is the red line. We need to fight like hell to peacefully and patriotically take back our country. But if this is enacted (meaning house, senate, Biden, and near instant court challenge/injunction), and becomes law, that's a break the glass scenario.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
