• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Off Topic and last resort to bug all you fine folks on here. Need some help badly. We had a new heat and air split unit with a heat pump installed 12/1. It uses one of those ecobee dumb thermostats. Well, there is nothing working correctly. We have it on a schedule and it works fine for a little bit in heat mode then all of a sudden the temp coming out of the vents starts to drop. It goes from 95 or so to upper 70s to eventually 60-65. All of this within an hour, hour and a half at most. It never goes back to blowing warm air. I have to change it from heat to aux (gas) and back several times messing with it for it to even sometimes start blowing warm again.

It is also on a schedule to drop the temp to 67 at night for cooler sleeping. It drops alright, right to 58 or so when we wake up in the night or first thing in the morning. Any help or suggestions appreciated either on the board or DM. Heat and air guy is useless at this point.

There's a 2 wire outdoor temp sensor that comes with the ecobee 4 that has to be installed with the outdoor heat pump to low voltage so it can communicate with the indoor furnace...Sounds like the sensor might be bad or not hooked up..

You have a hybrid heat system (gas and heatpump) so the ecobee 3 lite tstat wont work it has to be the ecobee 4 with outdoor sensor

Fuck How Do You All Know So Much About AC Systems?

State Terrorism and Propaganda by MSM has damaged a lot of people mentally.
Imagine the long term damage done to children.
I was a child during the 1950's. I remember Korean War Vets coming to our home, and losing it, and my Dad talking to them, as they worked through their nightmares.
The Cuban Crisis, the assassination of JFK.
I hate to think what we will see in 10-15 years. There is so much suicide and drug abuse going on right now because of the 24/7/365 TERROR CAMPAIGN pushed by our governments.

Holy shit I got banned from Twitter for saying this loony bitch is dressed like a nutcracker a couple of years ago. Lol

I had a neighbor that was in the Batan death march. He had to eat rats to survive. He was in such bad shape that the doctors gave him a script for Vodka in a state and county that was dry as hell. It was so difficult to see him in that condition until he died.

Korean War Vet who used to come see my Dad and talk half the night, drunk out of his mind. I would listen in to his nightmare stories of wave after wave of Chinese soldiers, and him and the rest of the boys killing them and stacking them.
It was WW1 style trench warfare in Korea at times. Or the Vet who survived under the dead bodies of his comrades in the trench, after they had been overrun by the Chinese. Until the trench was retaken by Americans.

Absolute Horror.

A younger guy in my small town-owned a service station with his brother. He was in the Korean war I heard him tell my dad that they would send him out on patrol alone and he would go out of sight and lay curled up under some bushes in a fetal position crying and throwing up because he was so scared and cold.

My Uncle served in Korea. We knew he was in the military but we didn't know until he died that he had a scholly offer from Bear Bryant at UK and he passed on that offer to go kill commies. I would of loved to of talked to him about that but he litter ali never even said he was in combat.

Bill Barr has spoken to the Jan 6th shown Bennie Thompson: Bill Barr Has Spoken to Jan. 6 Committee About Draft Executive Order to Have Defense Secretary Seize Voting Machines for Investigation (VIDEO)

“There was also another story, significant — Politico published the text of a draft executive order that had been presented to President Trump in December of 2020 to have the Defense Secretary seize voting machines in battleground states and multiple news organizations have now reported this. Do you intend to go to the Attorney General, Bill Barr, to ask him about this? I mean, how do you follow up on this kind of allegation and the paperwork to back it up?” Margaret Brennan asked Bennie Thompson.

“Well yes, we do. To be honest with you, we’ve had conversations with the former Attorney General already. We have talked to Department of Defense individuals. Uh, we are concerned, uh, that our military was part of this big lie on promoting that the election was false. So if you are using the military to potentially seize voting machines even though it’s a discussion, the public needs to know. We’ve never had that before and so any of these individuals who are participating and trying to stop the election — the duly election of a president, and if we can document it, we will share it with the publi

My dad spent 3 years in combat in the South Pacific in WW2 didn't talk much about the war. I know he survived an almost fatal case of malaria and a ruptured appendix.
He did tell me a story of a night where the Japanese got drunk on Sake and without weapons charged their position with boric acid to try and destroy any weapons and munitions they had.
Their perimeter was guarded with 50 caliper machine guns and they laid waste to the Japanese stacking them like cordwood.
The next day with the intense heat there they were swelled and busting open.
Yes, war is a complete horror.

My uncle made it about 10 yards on the beach at Normandy until he was gut shot twice.
War is Hell these were simple country boy farmers who answered the call and paid the ultimate price. Now, look at how they are remembered.
Shameful......

Late Night PSA - Thought I Would Share

While there are many skills and intentions that can save your life in a violent encounter or scenario, these five skills reign supreme.
  1. Situational Awareness: Training your mind to observe your environment, the context of the world around you at any one time, and what seems out of place can save your life. Knowing how many and where the exits are in any given facility, and understanding how to extricate yourself (meaning via route) from any location you occupy up to several miles can save lives. What improvised weapons are around you, and how can you solve almost any problem as it arises? Learn to become more situational aware.
  2. Body Coordination: The ability to move the body in a coordinated fashion to achieve any number of movements in response to the environment is critical. For overall body coordination, train using complex and compound movements such as a burpee, bear crawl, crab walk, inchworm, etc. And to achieve proficiency in specific defensive movements, train those movements slowly until you can confirm the proper order of muscle sync – then speed up.
  3. Learn Hands / Body / Feet: Want to land a defensive punch, defend a knife threat, and move out of the line of fire from a handgun or rifle? Your only hope is to utilize the Hands / Body / Feet movement principle. Do something different, and you’re telegraphing your movement. This is a foundational principle of self-defense – period. Learn to move this way.
  4. Vision: Improving your vision via training to see the movements that telegraph an attack, as well as, training your mind as to what must be seen during stress (stress management) are vital aspects of accessing and optimizing your vision to support yourself-defense. Start very slow and try to pick-up on the initiating movements of common attacks. Then move faster until the speed of your drill is a proxy for reality (and creates stress).
  5. Aggression: If I could teach only one skill or intention, it would be aggression. Learning to flip the switch and move from passive to ultra aggressive is, arguably, the most important skill you can master in self-defense. Aggression, often any kind of aggression, is enough to solve the problem. Krav Maga is essentially a vessel to channel your aggression into a much more optimal method of solving self-defense issues.
There are several more skills that could be discussed in securing your safety, but for now – focus on these. They just might save your life.

I wish you lived in Alabama you could be my bodyguard. We would go around and I would talk shit and if anyone said anything you could whoop the shit out of them. What a team we could be. LOL

MINEOLA, N.Y. (WCBS) – A New York biology teacher is facing up to four years in prison after being accused of injecting a neighbor’s son with what’s believed to be a coronavirus vaccine.

The Long Island science teacher who has been accused of giving the 17-year-old a vaccine without his parents’ consent had her day in court, flanked by her husband.

Laura Parker Russo walked away after pleading not guilty to a Class E felony, unauthorized practice of a profession.

“No criminal motive in this case,” her defense attorney, Michael DerGarabedian said. “There was only good that she wanted to come out of this thing.”

It was New Year’s Eve inside her North Shore Cliff home when Russo allegedly administered the vaccine to her son’s friend. The teen wanted the vaccine, his parents did not.

Russo is a 10th grade Herricks High School biology teacher, not a medical professional.

“She’s got parents and people who live with her that have diabetes, and she’s constantly giving medicine,” DerGarabedian said.

Russo has no medical license, according to the district attorney.

“As you are aware there was a video made and it was almost treated as if they were doing something funny,” Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly said. “It’s not funny when you are breaking the law and injecting children.”

Donnelly said an investigation into where Russo got the vaccine is still being conducted. The criminal complaint said she got it from a pharmacy. The vials are being tested.

“My concern is that there will be other copycats out there,” Donnelly said.

Donnelly said non-medical workers giving vaccines without permission to friends and relatives are liable and will be criminally charged.
