They are putting together a new earnings threshold test that says Bachelor degree program graduates have to earn more than the median high school graduate in your state 4 years after graduation.
And when it comes to grad school programs, they have to earn more than bachelor's degree graduates for that same type of field in that state within 4 years after their graduate school program. If the school program fails this test for 2 years in a row, they will lose access to federal Fi, federal student loans.
And if more than 50% of the school's programs fail this test, they lose access to all types of federal financial aid programs.”
Here’s what that really means Colleges can no longer have programs that do not deliver positive financial outcomes for their graduates
The goal is to stop federal taxpayer subsidies via loans and grants for programs that leave graduates financially worse off or no better than if they had skipped college This is common sense legislation and a huge win for everyone

I avoid call centers. Can't understand them and who know what people they are associated with around the world. My bank tells me the fraud on people's accounts is phenomenal. My Mom's accounts have been targeted. Someday I will tell stories of what happened. Some are wild.
Re: Call centers and AI. When I speak with them and want a live person, I find that the computer woman on the phone will pass me on to a live agent if I simply stay silent when she asks for any information. After 3 attempts "to verify me so they send me to the right person", I am always transferred to a live person. I've found if I answer any of their questions, there is always another question they ask. I don't have time to listen to 5 minutes of "if you have ______, press 1, press 2...."
One of my biggest pet peeves in life. I make sure to start every conversation (once connected to a human) with: “Your AI answers and directs me to a website or asks if I want a link. I would self serve if I could. The only reason I’m calling is because I can’t self serve. How do you guys not understand this?” It’s maddening.
