Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Actually I think they did have one design that did charge as it travels but is classed as a hybrid I think. Maybe they could install massive windmills and solar panels as well. A HA HAH AH

I would do it but for Thanksgiving Christmas etc. I want traditional. SIL did one in his super duper deep fryer. Along with appropriate number of grease burns. HA HA he is my ex SIL now anyway. But crap kind of reminded me of the old time pig roasts. Went to many of them when younger, lots of broken beer bottles, loud rock music and half cooked pig.

This is unfortunately true. I live in Midtown a few blocks from the UN and I’ve never seen so many homeless and vagrants wandering around here. Sure isn’t the same city I moved to 20 years ago. As soon as they mandate the vaccines for kids in school and the subways we are out.

If you were watching, the kid in the baby blue throw back jacket in the crowd at the end of the game is one of Max’s best friends (his dad was a close friend with my husband). His dad loved the Flyers (he was a UD grad). This was a freaking great Thanksgiving for an amazing young man who will be a Dayton freshman next fall. He will understandably be absent from school Monday.

The people picked Trump because the Republican Party are a bunch of globalists just like the Democrats. They have become more or less the Uniparty, they represent their own interests as much or more than the voters. Plus when Trump was picked there was already a global rising tide of citizens in many countries fed up with the Globalist Elite Trash we see everywhere.
Trump was a weakling in my opinion. Yah I liked him but personally in my opinion. If he was a serious Capitalist and a Conservative. He should have appointed strong Cabinet Members who were absolutely loyal, and the same with the Military.
He should have took the axe in hand and cut root and branch down two levels and cleaned house.
He was a poor leader. Great showman poor leader.
What made American Great in the beginning? Ask that question. Answer small government, low or zero taxes and the unchained dynamic of Free Men and Women.
What happens when you cut taxes, less government, more money in the little peoples pockets and what do they do? They spend it and consume and make everyone rich.

However, I wouldn't necessarily call him a weakling ...he shook up DC pretty hard and were seeing the side effects from that now. its hard to find loyal people with a silent coup happening and the entire establishment against you, both hands tied behind your back bc the deep state is dragging you through the mud with a bs collusion. 2 years ago, Dayton lost to Kansas in a ridiculously close game. I firmly believe it would have been a Kansas/Dayton final for the championship.
Mali Smith is Scoochie’s baby brother. And that’s not why he’s playing for Dayton. He’s flat out good.
We have a ridiculously young team with a lot of very talented young men learning to play together as a team (instead of battling to be THE player).
Getting out of the arena might be the best thing for them. Will they go to the tournament? I won’t say definitively no, but probably not. Not any of our expectations this year. But damn, that was freaking awesome for these men.
A10 is strong this year. Pay attention to the Bonnies (where my girl dove until she physically couldn’t…. And then transferred to Dayton, her grandfather’s and great grandfather’s alma mater)
Loaded and experienced.
Grant is a great coach and an even better man. We love having him home.
