True Story: 3 years ago I took the wife and kids up to Chicago for 4 days in March (long story on why Chicago). Anyways, the second morning we were there, we left the hotel to go walking down Michigan Ave to check out some things. We were standing outside the hotel trying to get our bearings, and I noted out of the corner of my eye a homeless black man make a bee line across the street towards us. He stops about 6 ft from the queen, raises one fist, and states “I’m about to kick the shit outta you”. I slowly move between them, and see that his other hand is in the pocket of his trench coat, and I focus solely on that hand. I tell ol’ boy that “if you’re going to fight me, you’re fighting these two also”, pointing to my 6’1” and 6’5” sons behind me. He takes one look at them, wisely decides it’s not worth his time to become the next black guy to get the shit kicked out of him in Chicago, and walks off while call us all phaggots and other wonderful things. That was 3 blocks from where JB Pritzker was standing. So I was in Chicago for 4 days and was threatened. Safe city my ass.

In my town and many around DFW, the authorities have installed radar speed limit detectors on the roads that show the speed of the cars approaching. Only a few obey them the rest continue on their merry way. In Texas, those detectors are not permitted to issue tickets or are a substitute for stopping speeders, red light runners and stop sign runners although the city elders believe they can.
