Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

That is one dude that I hope is fully exposed and prosecuted. I'm not sure I've ever seen a more disgusting human being than him, working for the US govt. I know there have been a lot but he has to be near the top.

Shelly Moore Capito's father was born into a political family, she followed in her father's footsteps. Her son, Moore Capito just lost to Patrick Morrissey, the new governor, and they tried everything to get him in. Her nephew, Riley Moore, represents a district. One of my closest friends is a hard-shell Democrat, I learned last week that he voted for Capito during her last election, that tells me all I need to know about her.
Joe Manchin's grandfather and father were the mayor of his home town. His uncle was big in WV politics.
Jim Justice switched from the Democrat party, he knew how toxic the party was becoming, started a trend to switch parties. Trump praises him, but I get the feeling he's going to screw over WV, hope I am wrong. Previously mentioned buddy that is a hard-shell democrat, will spit on the ground when you mention Jim, b/c he switched parties.
Carol Miller's father was a house representative from Ohio, and her son ran for governor this year. Her son's biggest issue, imo, was his mother. West Virginians are not happy that they have to call their representatives to beg them for their house or senate votes. WV is finally waking up to the BS, and family business that is WV politics.
She'll do a great job. She doesn't hold any punches when dealing with the msm now.
