A friend I had lunch with said you presently don’t need the vaccine to get into Mexico, but that you do need to get a negative test for Covid within seventy two hours ofreturning to the US. He flies down there often and is going tomorrow.

Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

The vaccine is a great option to have. I’m not taking it and my kids aren’t taking it. People are smart enough to make their own decisions. If I was 75 or in poor health I would probably take it.
As long as it remains by choice! If it starts becoming mandatory....

So much this! We will NOT be getting the vax for the reasons you mentioned. Hubs and I just returned from Mx. We took our kids and Gkids as a Christmas present. Was a great trip! Had to get tested 3 days before returning to US. Masks on plane, and while passing thru 1 building in Akumal. We have gone to this same place for 20 years and have many friends there now. Interesting to note, all these people say the same thing about Covid death numbers....Car accident=Died of covid, heart attack=covid, 104 yrs old=covid. They also say numbers of cases are way over stated. Go! Enjoy! Our resort is offering a buy 1 get 1 special until Mar 31, must travel by 2025. We are stocking up on nights for the next 4 yrs!
