We closed the world down for a disease that killed 3% of people and most had multiple comorbidities....Only 15% were seriously ill. How many Americans have to be hurt by illegal immigration before we just do the minimum to protect our people?

Two different arguments. Trump is arguing for absolute immunity even after he's out of office as long as he's not impeached. He won't win that. Nor should he.
