• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Just curious what is everyone’s thoughts on the vaccines? I feel like this is something we don’t talk about enough, lots of theories out that they could cause lots of health issues down the road.

Also curious to know how y’all feel about Trump pushing the operation warp speed accolades?

youve got to separate out the mRNA platforms (Pfizer, Moderna) from the adenovirus vax (J&J).

For mRNA, it’s a risk/benefit game. If you are in the higher risk categories (60+, comorbidities) it is worth considering. Unfortunately the clinical trials barely studied anyone 60+ and it was all young healthy people. There wasn’t a single death from covid in the Pfizer/moderna trials in the placebo or vaccine arm. It does seem to protect from symptomatic disease but unclear how effective the vax is in older populations that need it. Neither vaccine is great from a safety perspective as there are a good number of grade 3 adverse events following the second shot. In very old and frail patients the vax seems pretty dangerous. Norway noted 33 deaths of frail patients following first vaccine dose. There are also some long term concerns about autoimmunity issues with mRNA platforms and these would not manifest immediately. The way the mRNA vax works supports this concern but there really isn’t much known about how these work long term in the real world in large populations . If you are younger And healthy I would stay away from these and if you have any family history or autoimmune disorders it’s worth considering going for the J&J vax if you want a vaccine.

J&J is interesting. I’ve seen a lot of people mention it’s a traditional vaccine — it’s not. It’s an adenovirus platform that delivers DNA for your cells to produce the spike proteins. The adenovirus has been manipulated so that it can’t replicate, but it still shuttles and delivers the DNA cargo to your cells nuclei. The 1-dose safety profile for this vaccine is super clean. Not sure how a 2-dose would look but that study is running right now. Not quite as efficacious as the mRNA vaccines but they studied a different patient population (young and old) and also ran their trials when the virus variants were more prominent. I’m 37 and healthy with no comorbidities. If I was forced to get a vaccine it would be this one but I’m leaning towards no vaccine at this time if I can get away with it. There are also some long term concerns with autoimmune issues with adenovirus platforms but the 1-dose makes me feel a little more comfortable.

My parents are in the high risk category (65+, overweight, etc) and I recommended that they get the mRNA vaccine .

Last thing I’ll say is there is a lot of misinformation out there on both sides of the issue. I’m always a little wary of public health pushes where it seems likely that the top officials would gladly sacrifice small numbers of people for what they perceive to be the greater good of society...

No. Trump Jr and Eric are not electable and not just because of their last name. Ivanka isn't either, for different reasons (ahem... legit, true misogyny from the left... she's not the right kind of woman). I and millions of others, including Trump, are over 2 or 3 families running our country for the past 40 years (really, the past 2 centuries, but whose counting).

I'll be honest. Jr. amuses me and I think he's very smart, intellectually. He also annoys me because he tries too hard and it shows. And I've never been a fan of Guilfoyle. She strikes me as very opportunistic for the moment.

Laura Trump I DO expect to win in NC.
I do think it's more likely he endorses Desantis than Eric or Jr. in 2028.

Guess well just have to wait and see.

I'm way more bullish on other cryptos - if Bitcoin does a 5X this year it would be $200,000

I purchased HBAR at .03 it's at .12 since January as high as .15 to 10X my investment I just need it to get to .30

Same for ADA I purchased at .09 it was at $1.49 yesterday today it is at $1.27 likely to hit $2.00 in the next month that is a 20X gain

Hard to find these gains in the stock market.

I research the projects before I purchase - these two are game changers. They are Gen 3 of block-chain.

Here is HBAR compared to BTC & ETH

HBAR or Hedera is working with people like the State of Texas right now.

Here is their partners - these guys may know something...

ADA or Cardano using De-Fi will bring Africa into the 21st Century

DLT De-Fi Smart Contracts will forever change the world as we know it.

Getting in on these projects is like getting in on Microsoft or Apple at the early stages.

They will help destroy the things we all hate ITT central-banking, stock exchanges, regulation on and on...

When Trump rails against SCOTUS without pointing out that at least 2 of his appointees were frauds and big mistakes, and does the same with the election fraud and his own justice dept, he's just another politician. Dems are anti-American globalists who cheat every election. Trump knew this before the election, same as most here did. And he did nothing to thwart their cheating.

Trump is not in office today because he put the deep state in charge of huge swathes of his administration. He's not in office because the deep state republican party wanted him gone. Disappointed he hasn't had the wherewithal to say that. Standing up there and going over a laundry lists of empty accomplishments that have largely been undone isn't productive for anyone, him nor us.

No idea why everyone wants to cheer almost the exact same speech he's been making since last summer. They're cheering because - hearkening back to the discussion of the Golden Trump from a couple days ago- Trump is a god to many people. In spite of his many failures, they put their trust in him. Same as Q has become an idol to many people. In spite of being 100% destroyed when Biden took the oath, Q still has a strong presence on this board and among some republicans, in one ridiculous reincarnation or another.
You got somebody better in mind? A younger person would be great. You just can’t have Desantis until he’s done being governor of Florida.

Thanks for the explanation. I'll add that my wife and I are 32, she's currently pregnant so no shot for her and I'm not considering it at this point being we're both young and healthy. In a few years if this is still an issue we'll reconsider after there's been time to review how it effects everyone.

Tariffs are misleading though. I still believe in free trade but it has to be fair trade. We can't be 0 while everyone else is just raping us. People that wanted to blame Trump for a trade war never seemed to realize he was just doing what all these other countries had been doing for decades. It's not a fight while you are getting punched in the face.... its a fight when you punch back. Also theft of patented material has to be enforced or people will eventually just quit investing in it because China is going to steal it and sell it cheaper with zero upfront cost.
Tariffs help. The Theft of intellectual property is what has to be punished. This is a major issue and our current crop of law makers and Swamp people allow it and encourage it.

He's much more powerful without the constraints of public office. And no matter how healthy he is today, 4 years is a long time when one is in their seventies... and I'm positive that nobody on either side wants to elect an elderly man as POTUS again (not that the potato was legitimately elected, but you get my drift)

I'll say it again. I don't think he's running in 2024. But whomever he endorses will win.

(I'm hoping for DeSantis/Noem ticket, either variation is fine with me.)

And the public in general is doing a fine job of killing the media influence. Again, thanks to Trump. He saved our country by waking people up.

It says something that the media *all of it* is in a neck to neck race to the bottom with congress.
I completely agree. Maybe Trump could be the GOP version of the Obama "Shadow Government" in 2024.

I was curious about how small smell molecules were and this was the first link. It's 17 years old but some of the responses are funny given what's currently going on.

Here's a few:

Whilst I was in Japan over Christmas in 2001 I was surprised to see that I was sharing a train carriage with about 50 surgeons - or at least that's what they looked like all decked out in face masks. Turns out that, out of politeness, anyone with a cold dons a surgical face mask to prevent anyone else catching their cold.

The fact that the majority of the passengers were wearing one was testimony to their ineffectiveness !

Japan is so densely crowded in its urban areas, I'm surprised a major contagious illness hasn't wiped them out yet. The streets, the subway, bars, and the like are usually shoulder to shoulder people, according to a friend of mine who spent a year there. There's just no distancing yourself from other people...I don't know how they stand it.

Aren't we supposed to be overdue for a flu epidemic. Was the last one some time in the 1920's when so many otherwise healthy, young people died?

Found it interesting and wanted to share.

I think another interesting aspect of Trump being on the sidelines is now the MSM has no where to point the finger and no one to call the boogeyman. Their hypocrisy is being magnified by their reporting on Covid and Cuomo, Kids in Cages, etc. Their ratings will continue to plummet and eventually they are going to have to do their fucking jobs to get eyes back on them.

I dont think Trump should run in 24. I love the man (no homo) and his policies. I think he can be quite hilarious. I liked the way he was not a politician and was willing to take a side on an issue.

But let's face it... he is an absolute lightning rod for the left. They hate him so much that they were willing to take an absolute opposite side of views and go against America and common sense.

I hope Trump uses his power to find someone that will carry on his agenda and someone that can undergo the extreme vetting that he endured.

I dont want another politician but Noem is intriguing. Maybe pair her with Grennell. Then fill in top spots with Pompeo and Desantis.

I want someone like Trump and after 4 years of this disastrous admin, people will be begging for him... but unless the media and deep state are purged (not likely anytime during this admin) then it will be another uphill fight. If Hussein can run a shadow govt... then Trump can.

anyone who goes against the globalist agenda is going to be vilified the same as Trump, it doesn't matter near as much as you think imo. Look at what they did to Tulsi Gabbard, Matt Geatz, Desantis, Rand Paul... anyone who speaks truth to actual power takes a hot media dick to the ass.

How? Im completely lost on Bitcoin. So I gather it is basically specific algorithms?
  • Miners are individuals or teams who use computing power and specialized software to produce bitcoin. Each new bitcoin requires the creation of a new blockchain which is validated by miners. The miner is paid in bitcoin for this validation.
  • This computing power used by miners is reportedly so extensive that it currently uses an estimated 17 million kWh in one day.
  • The current rate of electricity consumption by bitcoin miners, however, is estimated to be 0.08% of total global electricity consumption. As of 2016, global electricity generation reached nearly 25,000 terawatt-hours

If Trump leaves the Republican Party the cabal is back in charge of both major political parties.

If Trump started his own party it would destroy the republican party imo. He's immediately take over half the party with him, maybe even up to 70 percent.

I think it also gives progressives a way to destroy the democratic party, which would also be a good thing.

This.

Also interesting that people are scared of a candidate's last name if it's Trump but many were openly begging for John John to return lead the way against the cabal. Not sure what makes the Kennedys different from the Trumps other than the Kennedys were life time politicians?

Once you consider that the Trumps have so much money and power they can't be corrupted by money or bribes then very few other people meet the bill (Elon).

Venezuala is actually a good case study in crypto and govt corruption. check out this article. Bringing around a wheelbarrow full of silver or gold just isn't realistic but hiding a flash drive on your person is no big deal, hence the popularity of crypto in a hyperinflation situation. It also allows the people to circumvent a lot of govt control and fiat money.

Trading one fiat for another is simply that.

It's sad they can't get that gold or silver because that's what they actually need. Hell even their oil would work but their problem is a lack of trust currently.

It's a great case study on why economies must have trust, structure, and RESOURCES.

Fiat currencies obviously have their place. pretending they don't ignores the past 50 years of history. In the absence of currency backed by real things crypto is a very solid option. Until countries start backing their currency by actual stuff crypto is going to continue being a better option.
