• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Just speculating. What if neutering the “handful” eliminates the others ability to operate in the shadows?

If you asked me whether I think Barr will testify as a witness to bring down the DS or pull a fishing boat by hand across Kentucky I would bet on him trying to find a lightweight boat.

I've run into this with a certain attorney where I work. She HATES firefighters because we actually make good money where I work and she does not believe that a bunch of hose dragging trolls should be making as much as we do. I don't know if she's a socialist in hiding, but it would not surprise me in this place.

'Conservatism' is seeing a lot of changes these days.

Old school 'conservatives' are going to have to stomach things that 10 years ago would have seemed unimaginable.

Just look at stimulus checks or tariffs as a few examples.
