Chutkan’s argument that the government has a right to a “fair trial” adds a whole level of protection to an already weaponized DOJ with crashing credibility.
So DOJ brings dubious, untested charges like 1512c2 (likely headed to SCOTUS) against a former president. DOJ controls all the evidence. Case will go to trial before a nearly-all Democratic jury and DOJ will vigorously object to change of venue motion. DOJ wants court control over defense jury survey to conceal from public the heavily tainted jury pool in DC. Now DOJ wants even “indirect messages” about potential witnesses who have free reign to say whatever they want about Trump and the case to be considered a violation of gag order.
Chutkan has a duty to protect the rights of a defendant from government overreach—the basis of Bill of Rights—not protect DOJ from Trump’s social media posts. She is arguing IN FAVOR of unaccountable, untethered government control at expense of a defendant because she is nothing more than a a partisan operative with documented critical statements about Trump.
This is batshit crazy.

Update to earlier Sunday evening post: Red Wings Airlines plane from Israel did land, carrying mostly (non-Jewish) local/regional kids who had been undergoing medical treatment in Israel (probably mostly for cancer), and their parents, mostly moms. (It is common for Russians to seek treatment in Israel.)
They were deplaned and managed to get on a chartered bus, before being surrounded for some time by a mob, which fortunately did not enter or seriously damage the bus.
Also, all airport shops have been trashed and looted. GLOBOHOMO has issued a condemnation, of course ignoring that the whole thing was a Ukrainian psyop.
It is widely expected that all rioters who can be identified, will receive a draft summons within the next few days.
