This is a great point that most people overlook.

Those entities do provide a check for citizens against other citizens (and entities) to make sure they aren’t having their rights violated. The way they uphold laws passed by Congress, as well Supreme Court rulings, is just another example of how they provide checks and balances to the average American.

It’s 2023, my fellow citizens are much more of a threat to my life, liberty, property, and pursuit of happiness than my government.
