EV questions we're not allowed to ask over the next 9 years
~What investments are being made to upgrade the existing power grid to meet the increased demand for mass-scale EVs?
~60% of our energy comes from fossil fuels. 40% natural gas and 20% coal. Democrats are cracking down on both of those. Nuclear is third, which they don't like either. How do you expect to meet the energy demands of mass EVs while simultaneously restricting our leading sources of electricity?
~Wind is the leading renewable energy source at 10%. Can wind supply the demand? How many wind turbines will it take? Wind turbines are made of steel. Where will the iron ore be sourced from to produce the turbines? What happens to turbines that are decommissioned?
What is the life span of an electric vehicle? Is it less than that of a combustion engine? What are the costs of replacing a battery? What happens to exhausted batteries? What happens to vehicles when the cost of replacing a battery exceeds the value of the vehicle?
Where does lithium-ion come from? Which countries are the leading producers of lithium ions? China is ramping up its own production of lithium-ion domestically and investing in mining operations in other leading countries. What geopolitical impact does it have to empower China's control over our transportation segment?
China is one of the world's leading environmental polluters. What measures are being pursued to ensure China's carbon and other environmental impacts don't run amok as demand for LI batteries sky Rockets?
China is also one of the world's leaders in exploitative labor. Will the US be empowering Chinese slave labor to meet the demand of our battery needs?
