EV questions we're not allowed to ask over the next 9 years

~What investments are being made to upgrade the existing power grid to meet the increased demand for mass-scale EVs?

~60% of our energy comes from fossil fuels. 40% natural gas and 20% coal. Democrats are cracking down on both of those. Nuclear is third, which they don't like either. How do you expect to meet the energy demands of mass EVs while simultaneously restricting our leading sources of electricity?

~Wind is the leading renewable energy source at 10%. Can wind supply the demand? How many wind turbines will it take? Wind turbines are made of steel. Where will the iron ore be sourced from to produce the turbines? What happens to turbines that are decommissioned?

What is the life span of an electric vehicle? Is it less than that of a combustion engine? What are the costs of replacing a battery? What happens to exhausted batteries? What happens to vehicles when the cost of replacing a battery exceeds the value of the vehicle?

Where does lithium-ion come from? Which countries are the leading producers of lithium ions? China is ramping up its own production of lithium-ion domestically and investing in mining operations in other leading countries. What geopolitical impact does it have to empower China's control over our transportation segment?

China is one of the world's leading environmental polluters. What measures are being pursued to ensure China's carbon and other environmental impacts don't run amok as demand for LI batteries sky Rockets?

China is also one of the world's leaders in exploitative labor. Will the US be empowering Chinese slave labor to meet the demand of our battery needs?

There will never be a time when I see that picture and not just start laughing.

Years ago I brought a complaint against the company over health and safety about a new shitter they installed during a renovation at the job site.
It went to the health and safety committee.
I got sick and tired of holding my cock back from touching the ice cold water and porcelain. I waited until the end of the meeting, then lodged the complaint.

At first they all laughed. Then I asked I think I am the only one who has this problem obviously, because none of the rest of you complained.
I pushed it up the ladder to upper management.
This is a serious hygienic problem I explained and I do not like having Ol Bruno subjected to health issues and unhygienic risks.
It is hard to keep holding him back from cold porcelain and cold water.
The company contractor under the engineers supervision came and changed the shitter from a modern residential toilet to an old school deep toilet so I could have a relaxing crap in the morning.

The shit that happens to a guy in life.

The crash that is going to hit is going to make 2008 look like a picnic. Amount of debt out there cannot afford these high interest rates, but if the FED cuts rates and starts printing money inflation will rage.

Vacancy rates are going higher and commercial real estate will implode which will hurt many banks.

Say Hello To The EPA Motor Company, Say Goodbye To Freedom

History may someday record today as the beginning of the end of the internal combustion engine – and of individual liberty in the U.S.

According to news reports, the EPA is scheduled to release proposed auto emissions standards today on new car sales so stringent that the only way for automakers to meet them would be to shift two-thirds of their fleet to electric.

But wait. How can a regulatory agency do that? Consumers aren’t demanding electric cars. Lawmakers didn’t vote to force them on the public. The Environmental Protection Agency knows better, though, and, unless it’s neutered, plans to force EVs on you – for your own good.

As the Washington Post helpfully explains, “While the rule changes wouldn’t order or require auto companies to sell a certain number of electric vehicles, it would set emissions limits so tightly the only way to comply would be to sell large percentages of EVs.”

---------------------------------------------------
We hate to say we told you so, but we told you so. Back in 2011, when we were with the now-defunct IBD editorials page. That year, automakers lined up to support the Obama administration’s ridiculously strict 54.5 miles per gallon fuel-economy standard, which was also designed to force-feed electric cars into the market. Instead of fighting, automakers bent the knee.

“Whatever their reason for caving into White House demands,” we observed at the time, “the fact is that carmakers have just handed over their businesses lock, wheel, and engine to the dictates of government bureaucrats and global warming enthusiasts.”
