I usually go to the Okemo area if I am up there (stay far away from Burlington), and Rutland is the same as you said above. Snow mobile trips on the Long Trail are pretty cool though.
Okemo is fine, but mostly because Ludlow is so small and everyone is from out of state. If they still own it, Tim and Sue were nice fun people.
