Not sure what sort of supplements you're on, or the type of diet you have, but one thing thing that I found out when researching it is that it be triggered by the amounts of specific amino acids. At the time, I was taking L-Arginine, which is supposed to be good for circulation. I also was eating a diet rich in tomatoes, tomato sauce, salsa, grapes, raisins, etc, which are all high in L-Arginine.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is L-Lysine. It acts as an antiviral (as discussed in the link below).

So in my case, I was very high in L-Arginine, and low in Lysine. I immediately stopped taking the L-Arginine supplement, cut down on the foods mentioned, and took a L-Lysine supplement, and my body responded very quickly.

If you're prone to it, you may want to consider taking the L-Lysine supplement if you're amino acids are out of balance.

Honest question. How would one know if their Lysine levels were deficient.
When my wife was diagnosed with inoperable cancer and put into cancer treatment.
My stress levels gave me an anxiety attack. They thought it was a heart attack.
They hauled me into emerge. And did all kinds of tests etc.
The old Doctor in Emerge after all tests and lab results.
Came to talk to ne. An said I think your heart is good. But I need to control your anxiety.
he had the nurse give me a huge injection of Vit B 12 in the ass and in 20 minutes all symptoms were gone in 45 minutes he sent me home with sublingual Vit B12 pills. I never had another anxiety attack.

My family Doctor put me on high blood pressure pills.
I did the research and started taking L Argenine and it lowered my blood pressure and he took me off the high blood pressure pills which really are not good for you.

Supplements and herbal remedies are very potent is the moral of the story

Good question, and honestly I'm not sure. Maybe you could get lab work to check, but I've never done that. I just know that another friend of mine got shingles and I gave him some of the lysine pills (I think something else too, but I need to check back and see, as it's been a while), but it cleared up for him very quickly also.

But yeah, supplements and natural remedies can be very effective!

Please share the natural remedy regimen you followed.
In addition to the Lysine supplement that I mentioned, I also did the following. For the areas of my body that got the blisters, I mixed some tea tree oil in with calamine lotion, and rubbed it on the affected areas.

I'll see if I can find some of the other links that I had save previously.

Allowing males in female sports is bullshit and needs to end.
Totally unfair to females.
Yep.

I can just see it now. Max decides he's going to play girls' lax so he can get a scholarship to Ohio State. Just has to let his hair grow back to the covid flow and dab on a little lipstick.

He's gonna kill it.

He's (oops, she) faster, more agile, stronger, more stamina, bigger lung capacity, and has better hand eye coordination and spatial awareness. More aggressive and built to better take the physical contact. (Make no mistake, despite the rules and no helmet, girls lax is rough)

So glad he thought of this now. So proud. Respect my 4th daighter's pronouns. He shall now be know as Maxina, nickname Max iPad. 🙄😂

@FreeMiner & @ttyh , I found a post that I made a while back and quoted it below. I had forgotten about the apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper.

Shingles:
All this talk in the other board about shingles reminded me of my bout with it 6-7 years ago, what I learned, and how I treated it.

At the time it triggered in me, I was taking an amino acid supplement called L-Arginine, which is supposed to be great for circulation. However, as I came to find out, it can also be a trigger for shingles if the balance of amino acids is off in your body, especiallyin regards to lysine and arginine.. I found this article that talks about it including foods to eat and others too avoid.

https://www.livestrong.com/article/280245-shingles-and-lysinearginine-foods/

At the time, I was also eating a good amount of pasta with red sauce, drinking wine and eating grapes and raisins, all of which are very high in L arginine and low in L-lysine. So once I found this out, I went out and bought the L-lysine supplement and started taking it immediately, while cutting out the L-arginine and those previous foods mentioned.

In addition to that, I found other articles showing that you can heal the body with other natural supplements including tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne pepper. See link to this article discussing these below:

https://www.reboothealth.co.uk/blog/how-to-cure-shingles-naturally

I ended up finding a pill supplement that combined the apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper, so I started taking that too. I bought a small bottle of tea tree oil, and another bottle of calamine lotion, and mixed the tea tree oil into the lotion to dilute it from its pure form, which can be harsh on the skin. A few times per day, I rubbed that tea tree oil mixture on the spots on my body that had the rash.

Once I started this treatment, it was entirely gone in less than a week. A year or so after this, another friend of mine in his late 30s also got shingles, so I gave him all of this info too, as well as bringing him some of the supplements that I used. He also was completely healed in less that a week.

Hope this helps for people that get it at some point in the future. It sucks and is pretty painful, so reducing the length it lasts and stopping the virus from reproduction is huge.

You ever harvest Chaga up there? Should be lots of birch along the coast. Very potent stuff.
I have a big lump of Chaga my son sent me.
Been singing its praises for years on here. I use the ground kind in my coffee. One pinch a day. These guys make a great chaga syrup with firweed but i used it all. See them again at the farmers market in the summer to re-up. SKOL!

Never taken L-Arginine but do take L-Cysteine which does basically the same as NAC but hasn't been banned on Amazon by OBiden.
