Honest question. How would one know if their Lysine levels were deficient. Not sure what sort of supplements you're on, or the type of diet you have, but one thing thing that I found out when researching it is that it be triggered by the amounts of specific amino acids. At the time, I was taking L-Arginine, which is supposed to be good for circulation. I also was eating a diet rich in tomatoes, tomato sauce, salsa, grapes, raisins, etc, which are all high in L-Arginine.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is L-Lysine. It acts as an antiviral (as discussed in the link below).
So in my case, I was very high in L-Arginine, and low in Lysine. I immediately stopped taking the L-Arginine supplement, cut down on the foods mentioned, and took a L-Lysine supplement, and my body responded very quickly.
If you're prone to it, you may want to consider taking the L-Lysine supplement if you're amino acids are out of balance.

When my wife was diagnosed with inoperable cancer and put into cancer treatment.
My stress levels gave me an anxiety attack. They thought it was a heart attack.
They hauled me into emerge. And did all kinds of tests etc.
The old Doctor in Emerge after all tests and lab results.
Came to talk to ne. An said I think your heart is good. But I need to control your anxiety.
he had the nurse give me a huge injection of Vit B 12 in the ass and in 20 minutes all symptoms were gone in 45 minutes he sent me home with sublingual Vit B12 pills. I never had another anxiety attack.
My family Doctor put me on high blood pressure pills.
I did the research and started taking L Argenine and it lowered my blood pressure and he took me off the high blood pressure pills which really are not good for you.
Supplements and herbal remedies are very potent is the moral of the story
