Re: Band of Brothers

On C-SPAN3 they just showed about 3 hours of a get together with the actors, family members of the vets and production company members talking about making this documentary. They told behind the scene stories of auditions, filming the series, stories of their interaction with the members of Easy Company and much more. If it is shown again watch or record it. Amazing.
Thanks for this info. I hope it airs again so I can watch it.

HBO released a 11-episode podcast series (aptly titled Band of Brothers Podcast) in 2021 in honor of the 20th anniversary of the show’s premiere. It was absolutely fantastic. The host is over the top but once you get past that, the stories the actors share are amazing. They truly wanted to honor the men of Easy Company and do their stories justice. I loved it and recommended it to my brother and brother-in-law and they both enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend (and this is in spite of knowing Tom Hanks is the worst).

Could be the same or similar. This was done in New Orleans in the WWII museum. It was moderated by an executive from Playtone, Hanks' production company. It was interesting that so many of the actors were from the UK but spoke on film with American accents. The members of Easy Company had been having annual reunions since the 50's or sooner. After the series was made, the actors and production people were invited to these reunions. Almost all the actors and producers had interacted with the soldiers before and during production that they had become like brothers and sisters to the soldiers and their families. Several said before and during filming they would talk with the soldiers they portrayed for hours and hours to learn what really happened throughout the war. Almost all the members of Easy Company had never talked about their experiences with anyone but their comrades and the series opened the door for them to open up. Even then, they only talked about the bravery of their fellow soldiers and not themselves. The actors said the experience had changed their lives.

The center of Kiev under relentless waves of Russian Drone attacks. I think softening things up for a massive push from Belarus.
