@CurtOFD78I am in need of some assistance from the FSF from people that are particularly skilled at finding information please!
Allegedly, the City of Orlando received a federal grant during the height of the pandemic to the tune of $58 million dollars. That money was supposed to go to the fire and police departments for among other thing PPE supplies, equipment, and salaries. However, the city never bothered to tell the police or fire departments about it and sent it back to the feds. Now, they asked for it back ( and supposedly got it) with the stated intent of paying for homeless housing and rental assistance. They made the mistake of letting us find out about it recently. Both the police and fire unions are in negotiations with the city for raises for the upcoming 3 year contract for 2022-2025 right now. What they offered is an insult and slap in the face.
I have been searching for evidence of this grant on FEMA sites and other various websites and have had no luck so far. If anyone here is skilled at digging for info and could DM me anything I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Check our this linked document. The links in the document actually work to all the background data for all Covid related state and town assistance provided by the federal govt. The links are slow to react because the data is huge.

Here is the primary story that I followed to the above data. Enjoy.
