A follow-up question for you and @ETNVol - wouldn't it be better for us to spend our energy doing something like helping people realize they are mistaken or trying to persuade politicians to do the right thing rather than arguing about the scale of Trump's potential compromise or incompetence?

I get that it's important to consider the possibility like that, but it's taken up so much time and space of the thread and is hardly constructive when it is just constant arguing.
