Coal never disappeared. It’s just being sent overseas. I have several friends that are retired in their late 30’s from shipping coal to China and IndiaOver the last 10 years.

The United States is literally forcing itself into an energy crisis and all the “environmental”proponents are going to scream when their lights don’t turn on or their bills triple. Then they will blame capitalism and the solution will be the government can fix the problem. Subsidies for energy is a bigger threat to the US than any warfare. We’ll continue to see more baseload plants ( coal nat gas)come offline early and backfilled by intermediate resources(wind solar etc)and the events that happened in winter 2021 in TX and SPP will become common.

With that said, I do believe there is a spot for renewables, but it needs to be eased in. Perfect example is capacity prices between MISO North and MISO South.

As someone brought up pages back. Right now, I believe, there are 3-5M electric cars on the road. No chance the grid can handle 30M. Especially, in areas that people are more likely to have them- east and west coast( you can add in Atlanta and Austin too)

TLDR-My personal opinion we have to walk into renewables as a primary source not sprint. What our government is trying to do is completely irresponsible and myopic.

Another thing about this statistic that is misleading is that 44% of mothers whose outcome is known had a miscarriage. There were many mothers whose outcome is not known. In other words, many mothers had healthy births, but did not report this to the people collecting these statistics. There is no way that 44% of all of the mothers in the group had miscarriages.

I believe one would find a statically relevant difference in miscarriage outcomes between vaccinated mothers and unvaccinated mothers, but I can guarantee you that difference is not 44%.
