Interesting take from a billionaire.

This is the best explanation for crypto I've heard.

At the same time, his logic is flawed.

First of all, the game theory scenario he outlines, I may live through the first iteration of getting extorted. I won't make it to the second iteration as that leverage has now evaporated.

The idea of hedging using debt is not novel. That is essentially what Soros did in shorting the British pound. The necessary requirement is that there is someplace to convert that debt into an asset. In the crypto world, that is a race to zero. For instance, if every single currency/company/real estate asset is going to zero, at some point, there is no place to retrieve value on the debt converted to crypto. There has to be an outlet for value to be realized, not just held in a wallet. Otherwise that wallet experiences the same dynamic as the peso/dollar under hyperinflation.

Ultimately, his idea that there can be incorruptible software is flawed. The software is created by corrupt people, therefore, inherently prone to corruption.

"I'm telling you right now. This is going to be the misdemeanor from hell for Merrick Garland, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden.

I’m not going to hold my breath

RE: federal mask mandate

The timing combined with the judge who ruled on the masks has me thinking that it was all deliberately executed.

Biden just extended the federal mask mandate for travel less than a week ago. They want people to 'want' to wear masks IMO. If Biden and the regime drop the mandates themselves it sends a message to their devoted mindless followers that all is okay and to take them off. They cant have it end that way.

With this little stunt, and of course the judge being a Trump appointee, they can deflect while stirring the emotions of the masked sheeple, making them cling to them harder.

I might be reaching, but it just seems too coincidental to have gone down the way it has.

So the judge fell on her sword for Biden?

??? Dude you have to add context for those of us that come here for the info. I do not know what Im looking at. Evergreen shipping container? What is the significance?

It goes back to Q. Evergreen was Hillary’s call sign as First Lady. Some think they’re used for human trafficking. There’s more. I just can’t remember. @Jayhox probably remembers.

Go woke go broke. Their shit is so insanely high right now. I could see a huge drop in ticket and on-site reservation prices. You need more people in the park spending money.
My FIL took the whole family to WDW here in Florida in early December for his and my MIL's 50th wedding anniversary. 13 people, staying at one of the main hotels. Park tickets for 4 days. All meals paid for. I believe he paid nearly 27K for all of it. Fvckin' unreal.

On top of that, all the adults got a special parting gift- COVID. FU Disney.

I sincerely apologize for assailing @Pineapple

The guy is an island of wisdom in a sea of ignorance

The tallest tree with the ripest fruit, a shining star and I'm just a brute

Keep battling pineapple!
LMFWAO!!!! I realize you are joking with the mea culpa, but it wouldn’t be necessary if it were real.

Hopefully on other topics we can find common ground.

If they lower prices it will become like Six Flags and will not be usable by families in a couple of years.

We were planning a family trip there at the end of July… we will be going somewhere else now.

The problem with impeaching him is the succession. I don't know that things would be better if Kamala were in that position. It may be necessary to do, but these next 3 years are going to be a little sketchy either way.

It seems weird that a Ukraine Tire dealer would get shipments from an Evergreen container. Now if you were secretly getting shipments of guns, ammo, rockets... It makes more sense that you'd have a shiny new Evergreen container sitting there.

It is cheaper to go to Italy for a week than it is to go to Disney for 5 days

That is Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy. He has / wants to convert their whole balance sheet to Bitcoin and out of US dollars. He also suggests mortgaging your house and buying Bitcoin as a long term investment. I really like him and think he is a thought leader in crypto (its my opinion that he is right)

BTC has proven to be incorruptible so far. Intersestingly, BTC has never claimed to be unhackable. Its known that if you can take over more than half the network you can corrupt the network. Its just that the probablity is infinitely small that taking over half the network can be done.

Not sure I follow you on your game theory scenario. Would be an interesting discussion in a crypto thread.

The game theory situation refers to this scenario.

If someone wants to extort me, they will. Either through seizure of assets or through blackmail/force.

The idea that I can prevent that extortion because the value of my asset lies in my head will be pressure tested. Someone will hold the proverbial or literal gun to my head. I may be able to stay alive, but at the point any true negotiation begins (i.e. they threaten to kill my children, but leave me alive), I will then be forced to give up the leverage (passcode) that is in my head. At that point, the game is over.

But how is that different from dollars?

They could extort you with any currency.
