A drug is a drug. Our government just happens to allow a certain few. Therefore, one that is relatively benign will always be compared to the legal few the masses are allowed to consume without fear of going to jail for simply even possessing them.. Cigarettes kill nearly 500k people a year, directly or indirectly. Alcohol kills 95k a year just from excessive consumption.

You're right, any drug allowed in society will have negatives. But I'm not here advocating for heroin to be legal, either.

Nuance is hard to grasp for some, but not everyone can be Joel Osteen either.

Your comment about it being a gateway drug is ignorant. The only way weed is a “gateway drug” is by the people you meet to get it. It’s a “gateway” to meeting drug dealers who can get you harder substances like coke, ex, heroin, meth, etc. If someone could walk into a store and legally buy it, they aren’t meeting those drug dealers and don’t have an opportunity to buy the hard, really addictive drugs. Just because someone smokes weed doesn’t mean they automatically want to do heroin, but meeting those shady ass people makes heroin more accessable.

haha when I came back from Dominican this weekend, I took the mask off as soon as I got off the plane and was the only person in the mile long line going through customs not still wearing the mask.
