Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

As would I am d probably almost all the people here who are able to call his warts out for what they are. This thread and maybe even the site itself is in existence, at least partially, because people question the status quo. Hell Donald Trump ran on just that. Remember it was him that promised to drain the swamp and it was him that said he only hires the best people. I didn't say that repeatedly while on huge tours and rallies.
Trump is not above reproach and just because he made a few good choices it doesn't mean we can't question him. We are not democrats.

The problem is, Trump would solve nothing. 4 years of Trump and the deep state was more entrenched than ever, and just one year of Biden and the country is weaker than it's been in 150 years. Of course, part of that was because he was embarrassingly unaware that globalists were running his administration until the final year, but more than anything, no president, regardless of how well-intentioned, will ever be able to work around an almost entirely corrupt congress.
