• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Florida Sues Biden, NASA Over Vaccine Mandate

quote:

Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state of Florida sued President Joe Biden, NASA, and other government agencies over the "unlawful" COVID-19 vaccine mandates that require federal contractors to get vaccinated, and "threaten" the state's economy. Biden early last month announced plans to impose vaccine mandates on federal employees and businesses with 100 or more employees. Unvaccinated workers must get tested regularly. The Republican governor and state Attorney General Ashley Moody filed the lawsuit, first reported by Fox News, against Biden, NASA, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, and officials within the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Defense over the vaccine mandates.

quote:

The lawsuit was filed Thursday morning in U.S. District Court in the middle district of Florida's Tampa division, Bloomberg News reports. Biden's mandate requires federal contractors to ensure workers are fully vaccinated by Dec. 8. Florida's lawsuit argues that NASA, and others, "frequently contracts with Florida, has current contractual relationships with Florida, and is and will continue to seek to impose the Biden administration’s unlawful requirements to Florida." "Because the government’s unlawful vaccine requirement seeks to interfere with Florida’s employment policies and threaten Florida with economic harm and the loss of federal contracts, the State seeks relief from this Court," the lawsuit states, Fox News reported. The lawsuit says the vaccine mandate would force Florida to require vaccinations of certain state officials who work on projects with federal contractors.

You poor bastard. I refuse to put any bottled sauce on my grill. My mom did when we were kids when she cooked chicken in the oven. My old man would fix a sandwich those nights. Now i fully understand his position. Homemade is the only correct answer. SKOL!

Let me add the shield maiden prefers mustard base sauce and she makes her own and it's killer. I do prefer vinegar and red pepper for pulled pork or whole hog, but my old man's sauce is perfect on big beef ribs and pork ribs.
Stopped reading at mustard sauce

Dude, the shield maiden gets what she wants. Stop by Sweatmans in Holly Hill someday and you may be swayed. It’s a mess when we make pulled pork at the house. She’s cooking her shit and I am making mine. Shit everywhere. My old man’s sauce is a whole different ball game but you can’t bottle that pure essence. I feel strongly about sauces! Haha SKOL BROTHER!

I make it a point to never put man sauce in this body.....

Hispanic Voters Respond Accordingly After Terry McAuliffe Insult.

LINK

So with that in mind, we turn to embattled Virginia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe, who is now in a desperate fight to shore up base voters as the battle between him and Republican nominee Glenn Youngkin is now a dead-heat, all brought on by McAuliffe doubling down on a catastrophic declaration he made during a debate last month about how “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

In the video clip below, you see McAuliffe during an apparent campaign stop for Hispanic voters quite bluntly telling them they needed to “get busy … relatively quickly” procreating in order to increase the chances of Democrats winning elections.

Wrong:

Vick, the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback now serving a 23-month federal term in Leavenworth, Kan., pleaded guilty in Surry County Circuit Court to one count of dogfighting and not guilty to one count of cruelty to animals, which the state then dropped.

He went to jail for Dog Fight.

We're both right - here's the actual plea deal:

"The defendant agrees to plead guilty to count 1 of the indictment charging the defendant of Conspiracy to Travel in Interstate Commerce in Aid of Unlawful Activities and to Sponsor a Dog in an animal fighting venture..."

Not supporting anything here at all or trying to argue. Just pointing out that the news slanted this to be much more about the cruelty when in fact The Feds got him on the Interstate Commerce. I just remembered actually reading that when it all came out.

Not unlike Al Capone was imprisoned for tax evasion even though everyone knew he was guilty of much worse.

Carry on.

@Croot_Overlord

Here's the answer to the site. Create a Let's go Brandon song. Surely this group of over achievers and put lyrics together. Add some music which will be covered from the almost 3k members.
Ha! I was just talking to @BLatta12 - and we are a bit late to the show - but we are about to get a Let’s Go Brandon shirt up

I’m usually an optimist.

But today I made the mistake of watching about 30 minutes of Moderate Merrick testify to the Senate. While it was somewhat emotionally satisfying to watch Tom Cotton tell that slug of a human being to his face that he was glad he wasn’t on the Supreme Court- it was short-lived. Because well, it doesn’t change anything.

The crash from the sugar high of watching Moderate Merrick confronted for the empty suit he is (with his stupid effeminate ridiculous CRT son in law) just gave me the most sickening pessimistic feeling that there’s no fixing this. Because it’s more than just Mkderate Merrick. It’s that some significant portion of the American population thinks our civil liberties are superfluous. The President of the United States * mocked the idea that someone would think freedom
Is important. As if we are in fact frivolous if we insist upon having them. And that’s scary AF.

Our elections are not reliable, and they are not honest. Plus, even if we elect new people by accident, they aren’t the ones actually running anything. If they were - Tom Cotton wouldn’t be telling Moderate Merrick he should resign, he’d be firing his ass.

Our “elected” officials are all figureheads. I’m convinced they don’t make any actual decisions about anything. They just hire Moderate Merricks to make all the decisions, and the Moderate Merricks have no consequences for being wrong.

How do we get our civil liberties back? Because I cannot think of one civil liberty we had - that the Moderate Merricks of the world hasn’t taken by attrition.

Is there a way to get them back? There has to be away?
