Georgia sends every 2023 high school graduate financial literacy book
Every graduating high school senior in the state of Georgia received a book on financial literacy this year as a parting gift in preparation for the real world.

The book was written by Georgia native Dale Alexander, a longtime employee benefits broker with a certified financial planner designation who in recent years has become an evangelist for teaching young people how to manage their finances before they receive their first full-time paycheck.
"70% of that first, real job is still going to be the most money they've ever seen in their lives," Alexander said. "I teach kids, ‘Make 70 your 100.’"
How much of his own money did he spend mailing 120,000 copies of this irrelevant financial advice to people in Georgia?
Wages have been stagnant since 2009 and was long overdue for a massive increase before COVID shut down the economy and cost of living skyrocketed. 90% of the kids getting this book will be living paycheck to paycheck and won't be able to save 30% of their income.
This book will be effectively toilet paper for all the good it's unasked-for "financial advice" accomplishes.
The problem isn't what the peasants are choosing to spend their circus peanuts on. The problem is the system which is paying the peasants in circus peanuts.
