What is most admirable about the people from the time before the madness is that despite adversity, despite the great depression followed by the biggest war in history they still managed to remain cheerful and behave like ladies and gentlemen.
People were generally reasonable, kind, and supportive of their country back then.
It’s a shame what our country has become now.
