The Chinese students in universities was/is a huge issue. There were two Chinese and one Indian in my class (only four of us in a Masters class). One would ask me leading questions all the time. The other one seemed nicer and he kept telling me that the other was a “bad person”. They could have been pulling some good cop/ bad cop shit but who knows. The one kept asking me about “chips”

Also this is a real, documented technology from China, and all public reports state that they are ahead of us. It is one of the most concerning, if not the most concerning technologies that has come out in decades (according to public reports)

However, to some degree this is clearly propaganda to increase the defense budget. Especially with the White House comments. “Bring it on“ likely means we are about to spend some money IMO

It's possible they have something we don't. Biggest deal are those hypersonic missiles which will effectively make A2/AD obsolete. Also could make carriers obsolete. I just can't imagine we'd have dropped the ball on something that crucial.

We'll probably get back to an era where dumb rounds make more sense to use than missiles. They have a defense system for humvees they've been developing for decades that shoot RPG rounds out of the air with a single round.

Warhead size is still small and would be used to target HVTs. Will need to be used in mass with more conventional long range strike weapons. Most of Americas Technology comes from Nazi ties during the second world war and countless of other countries as well. The US also hack as many nations as what Russia or China are reported to do.

I'm all for other countries improving their technology. The way things are going in the world right now, I would say those that proclaim to be the peace keepers of today have in fact become the very thing they so proudly overcame in the second world war. Reading up on how the war was funded reveals a lot in terms of who actually was used to create said technologies. Bit like putting weapons into the hands of others which we know how that works.

Make no mistake, there are more and more locals barracking for those on the opposing side. Times are in deed a changing and it's very encouraging to see China forging ahead. When locals do not listen but instead shit in their own nest and keep repeating the same mistakes - the world is already at an end.

I in turn appreciate your response. I'll can only add that no matter the claims of either side, when it comes to equality, mutually assured destruction is possibly the most positive result when all aspects of society world wide are weighed and measured. Until the fear mongering and point scoring ends there will be no winner.

Regarding the rocket technology. The tech is finally making advances once more. Now leaping from the dinosaur period of the 60's into an age of hopefully exploration. Whilst Starship will no doubt be weaponized like everything else, one can only hope that the speed of advancements will be mirrored world wide by all nations forging their own way into space but openly so.

Rather than proposing how do we combat it all, my question is more how do we continue to live with each other whilst so many focus on fighting at all?
