It's my opinion God used Coach Bowden as a vessel.

Bowden was sick as a child and pledged his life to God if he would heal him. God did just that and more.

Coach made thousands better and saved many by preaching the word of God.

Pray for us Coach......

Only ever met him once, but what an amazing memory. Was at the old sports offices when Doak was still the erector set and he invited me and my brother in law into his office and treated us like family. Asked so many questions about us, where we were from, etc. gave us some signed photos. His demeanor, personality and presence reminded me of my Dad. RIP Bobby.

I had the pleasure of meeting him on field at 1999 spring practice with my Dad who is also a football coach. A great man that mentored a lot of other great men. He will be missed.

I will say this. Nic Saban has won more championships, but Bobby Bowden touched way more lives. We all know what matters more on the other side.
