New recruiting site signing Rivals staff

On3.com is coming together under the same guy that started Rivals and 247. I never subscribed to sites, so I don't know if they are worth a shit, but the supposed decent writers are all signing with On3.

Oh wow. Stick a fork in Rivals - they are done for sure at this point
Ky voted overwhelmingly for Trump and our board was overwhelmingly woke bullshit. They are gonna be so shocked when they are all unemployed. Granted, I warned them most people didn't believe that shit but I constantly got my post deleted and threads locked. I'd love to go back on some of those threads in the wake of the Faucci emails. Bunch of homos slurping Faucci and making fun of Rand Paul for questioning him... LOLZ. The 2 mask people need public shaming. That might the most pissed I've ever been about a post being deleted.... 2 mask people should go ahead and kill themselves if they are that scared even after being vaccinated. fucking pussies.

As much as Dot.com is a fucking homo and acts very petty, he does have the best media content and access to the university. 24/7 also does a great job with recruiting, but nothing further.

My little cousin works for ON3 , he digs it. Dude that started these companies builds and sells rinse and repeat. Nashvillian

Does he just build, sell, wait out the non compete and then just build the same thing again? Not a bad model.

Can’t say that I’ve ever been to an on3.com website, but if they are less communist than rivals I would check it out. Screw Rivals and their censorship during the Covid. Bunch of fags

Yeah this is exactly what he does. I think they are trying to buy out some of the team specific recruiting services.

I wonder how much longer the premium recruiting model holds up with so much info available on Twitter, etc. Will the latest generation pay for recruiting info? I guess the transfer portal will likely become more exciting than recruiting and people will want inside scoops

I think the community is what holds some of these sites together. Hundreds of subscribers will leave Rivals to follow Brent Hubbs and VolQuest to on3. Not necessarily because of the coverage, but because of the community that site has built over 20+ years. Shannon knows Brent well so once on3 became a thing most people saw the writing on the wall.

What was your overall assessment of the vols last night?

I didn't get to watch any

It was an extremely vanilla game plan. Like last year they came out hot, INT on the first play and a TD pass on the 2nd play. Hot first quarter like last year, but unlike last year they stayed hot in the 2nd quarter. Heupel's teams are good about jumping on people early. I liked what I saw with the defense and the depth is much better. I hate the "bend but don't break" philosophy but it worked well last night.

Of course it's a MAC team, but last year they struggled against Bowling Green in the first game so you can see the difference in what Heupel has done.

Vols didn't get a sack, which is concerning. But Ball St has a decent QB. He was throwing from multiple arm angles and he got the ball out quick, I don't think he ever held the ball for more than 3 seconds. When we blitzed, he immediately threw the ball and a lot of those were throw aways or throws into contested 1v1 coverage (got another INT from this).

Depth is better. Offensive tempo is faster. Tackling looked a lot better. They did what they were supposed to do. Still a lot of questions though. Can they generate a pass rush with the front 4? Ball St only rushed 3 all night and never came close to touching Hooker. I think he took a sack but he tried to run and was tackled a half yard behind the line so I'm not sure if it went down as a sack. Can the OL hold up against a legit DL?

We'll know a lot more after the Pitt game but they look much improved from last season.

I will say Ball St has some surprisingly good players. Their RB is a tank and always falls forward. QB was solid, quick release. WRs were not bad at all and made some tough catches in coverage. That's the type of team that would have given Pruitt trouble.
