I have hearing aids because of being a fireman for 26 years. I had to get them back in '07 or so because I couldn't hear shit.
After putting them in for the first time it was not the joyous occasion people think. SO MUCH GD NOISE !!!!!!
People have no idea how much noise pollution you live with every day that causes stress and heartburn.
If I want to lower my BP and ignore the world I just take mine out. Pure serenity folks.
PS - My ex wife and current GF love it when I say I can't hear them lol.
