Update on the 'vid in my household.
My younger boy has had symptoms for about a week now. He tested negative with the rapid test last Wednesday, but then on Friday, the Dr. ran a PCR test and it hit as positive. By the weekend, he was past the fever portion and then it became more congestion/coughing/headache stuff.
My wife started getting a few symptoms including headache and lack of energy this weekend as well. She had a mild fever a couple of days, but that seems to be passed (hopefully) and now she's doing pretty good, though the coughing seems to be increasing.
My older boy got a fever yesterday, after having avoided it thus far. He ended up being really tired and going to be early. Temp was varying between 99 and 101. He hasn't gotten any other symptoms yet.
As for myself, knock on wood, so far I haven't gotten any symptoms. I've been on ivermectin prophylaxis for a month or so, and once my son started getting symptoms, and got the positive test, I increased my frequency of taking it. We know 100% that it's in our house, and I'm be exposed to it heavily, so we'll see what happens.
I tried to get my wife to take it too, but she's afraid of medication and thinks that the risks of side effects is not worth it. I tried to show her otherwise, including me taking it, but she wants to wait for now. Fortunately, our Dr did a telemed with her and prescribed a Z pack, methylprednizone, and albuterol sulfate (spelling?).
Cliffs: 3 out of the 4 people in our household have gotten covid so far. I'm the only one currently taking ivermectin and I haven't shown any symptoms yet. Hoping it stays that way.
