I spoke to my friends wife, who is a nurse in the critical care area at a local hospital here in Vegas, and was told a couple of eye opening things.
1. If you took the vaccine more than 6 months ago, and get covid, they're reporting you as "UNvaccinated" because it's greater than 6 months!
2. For patients that are coming into the hospital with very severe cases (typically elderly) and can't respond accordingly, they're categorizing them as unvaccinated, despite not knowing whether or not they've been vaccinated.
These two items are definitely having an impact on knowing the true effectiveness of the vaccines. Also of big importance to many people is knowing the true numbers associated with each of the different vaccines. I'm sure they're not all exactly the same efficacy, so it's important to know which ones are most effective.
