Although Reagan’s hero, Franklin D. Roosevelt, is strong competition to the title I think it’s pretty clear Reagan produced better results for the country.

Ronald Reagan was a pro choice Democrat before switching parties.
You could make the argument that Reagan and Trump are more democratic than traditional republicans. Doesn't bother me because I like what they stand for no matter what label it has attached to their name.
It says a lot of a person who switches allegiances in mid-stream. Naturally, it depends which direction they move to what is actually said. Both Reagan and Trump started off as Democrats and eventually saw the faults that were saddled with their platform. Others seeing the light include Leo "2.0" Terrell and Candace Owens both of whom get labeled as "Uncle Toms" from the racist left.
You've also got former RINOs that come out of the closet to reveal their true colors like MSDNC's Joe Scarbrough whose balls are in Mika's purse and Bill Kristol. Both of whom peddle bullshit for a living on MSDNC.
