When I was a kid, it was all "the rain forests are burning down" and "in 20 years there won't be any rain forest left!"

Well, we are about 30 years removed from that and we sill have Rain Forests on fire. The only good thing I remember from that time was "think global act local" which is what I would apply to politics/management structure in this country. But, that's about it.

I always get a good chuckle that anyone actually thinks we can impact the climate of this planet to the point that we irrevocably change it. The planet will wipe us out long before our carbon footprint does any lasting damage to earth.
