In the same interview i linked above, he states that he thinks "all subsidies should be done away with."
I know he has taken advantage of them, but that is different than supporting them.

I support subsidies. Much rather go a quasi public private partnership towards agencies and government role then letting them fuck things up.

Elon for president? Maybe. But as a free range entrepreneur cowboy it appears he fights a much more effective battle against authoritarian elites trying to destroy free speech and promote censorship.
