On March 20, 1854 the Republican Party was established in Ripon, Wisconsin. Referred to as the GOP or Grand Old Party, it established for one reason: to break the chains of slavery and ensure the unalienable rights endowed by the Creator of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness would be for all Americans.

The Republican Party was created to achieve individual freedom. Then, as now, the antagonist to the Republican party has been the Democrats, the party of collective subjugation and individual enslavement — then physical, now economic.

The first black members of the US House and Senate were Republicans. The first civil rights legislation came from Republicans. Democrats gave us the KKK, Jim Crow, lynchings, poll taxes, literacy tests, and failed policies like the “Great Society.”

Republican President Eisenhower ordered troops to enforce school desegregation. Republican Senator Everett Dirksen enabled the 1964 civil rights legislation to pass, in opposition to Democrat Senators Robert Byrd (KKK Grand Wizard) and Al Gore, Sr.

As a matter of fact, it was Democrat President Lyndon Baines Johnson who stated, “I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years” as he confided with two like-minded governors on Air Force One regarding his underlying intentions for the “Great Society” programs.

Yep, and who are the real racists? So far, thanks to a Republican Party that is ignorant of its own history and gave up on the black community, Democrats have 50 of those 200 years under their belt.

The problem with today’s Republican Party is that it has forgotten its own history and raison d’ etre: individual liberty. The Party must come to realize that GOP also stands for “Growth, Opportunity, Prosperity” and articulate how it stands, as its history and founding clearly demonstrate, for the individual pursuit of happiness as opposed to the progressive socialist (Democrat) lie of a collective guarantee of happiness.

Cute that you're copying and pasting from Allen West. But, I'm your huckleberry

Are you even a person of color??? Or just a white libtard riding the coattail of black folks? All you seem capable of is calling names! There isn't any substance to anything you say.
Historically, there was not really a conservative party that gravitated towards all things "conservative." Republicans began as a very liberal party, socially speaking. We all know the origins from the broken Whig party in the mid 1850s, created by New England Yankees, Quakers, etc. They "emphasized modernizing the United States, expanded banking, more railroads and factories, and argued the free market was superior to slavery and was the foundational civic virtue of true Republicanism." Democrats at the time, by contrast, were the slave holding agribusiness party....by far the most profitable areas of the US economy at the time. You see the rural vs urban fight at the very beginnings. By 1878, the US climbed out of the long depression and in the ensuing 20 years the number of manufacturing plants and people working in the industry nearly tripled.

The split started forming in 1898 with William Jennings Bryant essentially creating the first sliver of modern Democrats. He emphasized the idea that we should mint silver to end the horrible depression of 1893, the Free Silver movement and crossed the nation by special train giving speeches, giving over 500 speeches to millions of "workingmen." The rural folk in the South and Midwest adored him, while Grover Cleveland ran the Bourbon Democrats, which became the Gold Democrats...heavily emphasizing the gold standard, support for banks, railroads and industry. The Democrats began, for the first time, a candidate that went all in on the working class as opposed to the historical ag business plantation landowners.

By 1904, Teddy Roosevelt was the cats meow and the most popular politician in the country, forcing Bryant out of the limelight for quite a while. The conservative Democrats at the time controlled the party,. controlling the convention of 1904 as well. At this point, we were still divided more by religion with Methodists, Congregationalists, Presbyterians, Lutherans in the north closely linked to the Republicans and liturgical groups, Catholics, Episcopalians, German Lutherans all looked to the Democratic party for protection from "peitistic moralism" (a Lutheran concept of biblical discipline emphasized by individual piety and living vigorous Christian life), particularly prohibition. About 50% of the Northern voters believed the government should be used to reduce social sins, such as drinking. Liturgical churches believed the government should stay out of the morality business, the class divisions within two the parties surfacing. Wilson took over in 1910 and swept in a series of progressive laws...stronger antitrust laws, reduced tariffs, hours and pay benefits for railroad workers, outlawing child labor, women's suffrage, prohibition, etc. However, he was also a staunch racist. But, the party of labor is surfacing at this point, the divisions becoming quite clear.

Sorry, I realized I'm going too detailed. The roaring 20s were encapsulated by Calvin Coolidge, all out pro-business, fuck the worker, fuck protections, fuck consumer protections. Hoover only made it worse....Great Depression, and Roosevelt solidified the party as the party of labor, utilizing government programs to aid in the catastrophe. Industrialist Republicans fought him every step of the way and the notion of Big Government is he enemy began in their marketing, creating the Conservative Coalition in 1937 opposed to Roosevelt's New Deal, any welfare reforms, deficit spending, etc. They fought to "conserve" what they believed America to be BEFORE 1933. This is the origin wording moment. They even tried to stage a coup, a literal coup. This coalition essentially ruled Congress from 1937 - 1963 when Johnson broke them uniting sufficient numbers of northern Republicans to ally with northern liberal Democrats to push the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The sides were being sifted...with Goldwater, who supported civil rights before the Presidential Campaign, shifting to an anti-desegregation policy during his campaign. They suffered a massive defeat in 1964, but regained their footing in Congress in 1966 and elected Richard Nixon in 1968.

Going back, throughout this time, the forefathers of the modern Republican party, like Robert Taft, came around pushing ideologies for the business class. They emphasized removing barriers and labor laws that hindered the business owners. From Coolidge on, the GOP was the party of the business owner while the DNC was the party of the working class. That changed when civil rights began to become an issue again. After the Great Depression, it was difficult to sell that idea....fuck the people, support the businesses. SO, they had to come up with other methods...typically attacking communists at the time and linking any government program with communism. But, anti-communism and pro-big business is just not the most winning of messages. The John Birch sprung up which was staunchly anti-communists, racist, and plagued with conspiracies. The conspiracy wing of the GOP was here. McCarthy was the lyncher in charge. They tried to go after anyone with even sympathies to labor causes....Reagan, of course, was President of the Screen Actors Guild and was feeding info on his fellow guild members to the FBI and Hoover at the time. In 1953....this is too long of an answer. I feel like I should do the Billy Joel, We Didn't Start the Fire cadence....Leo Strauss, Russell Kirk, Robert Nisbet....A Conservative Mind...all boils down to Civil Rights and 1964...the Presidential campaign of Barry Goldwater. He got his ass handed to him, but the foundations of today are in full force at this time.

Going back a tad to Truman in 1948 giving the civil rights DNC speech, Hubert Humphrey and Paul Douglas pushing for a strong civil rights platform and the entire 22 member Mississippi delegation walking out, led by Gielding L Wright and Hugh L White. 13 members of the Alabama delegation walked out as well, led by Level Ellis. Both delegations created the States Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrats) led by Strom Thurmond for President. Desegregation started the modern Conservative GOP as we know it. Brown v Board of Ed lead to segregation schools...white Christian schools so they could keep desegregation. Green v Connelly in 1971 and Runyon v McCary (1976) prohibited racial discrimination in private schools and revoked IRS granted non-profit status of schools in violation. In doing so, they linked the fundamentalist Christians, radio pastors, and segregationists all into one spark of a movement. This is the beginning of Paul Weyrich. In 1973, he persuaded Joseph Coors to invest in the creation of the Heritage Foundation along with Edwin Feulner. From that, you get Weyrich as the mastermind, really. If I could come up with anyone since 1970 who’s influenced modern conservatism above anyone else, it’s Paul Weyrich. Obviously, to win you need social issues since your economic policies had been considered a plague since the 30s. They had the segregation vote, but tying it to religion was the masterpiece of Weyrich and the Council for National Policy. It gets deep, but essentially the CNP is the creator and, to this day, the guiding policy and message force for the entire movement, outside of Koch owned mechanisms, which work with the CNP. More and more they realized that being right didn’t win you an election. If you notice even today, the radio talk show hosts on the AM dial to FOX to Newsmaxx to Congress are all using the same words on the same message on the same day. This is because of the CNP. Weyrich had a dream of uniting the fundamentalist Christian vote into the GOP, and in doing so, created the New Right (1964-present/ not the old New Right as brought in by Buckley Jr in 1954) focusing much more on wedge issues like abortion and linked directly to the Religious Right. From the CNP, you get the American Enterprise Institute, Free Congress Foundation, Heritage Foundation, Heartland Institute, America Legislative Exchange Council, Free Congress Foundation, Kreible Institute….essentially every GOP organization you can think of that wasn’t created by the Kochs (like Cato). The CNP, started by Weyrich, Tim Lahaye (evangelical preacher, first Pres of the CNP, and writer of the Left Behind series), Nelson Bunker Hunt (oil magnate), businessman and murderer T Cullen Davis, and wealthy John Bircher William Cries. Coupled within that are the key players….Morton Blackwell of the Leadership Institute (created at the direction of the CNP), James Dobson (Focus on the Family, called the nation’s most influential evangelical leader who also did things like protect child predators like Josh Duggar, Ovalle, etc. Not even going into the schools they started that ended up doing things like graduating 12 people a year, lots of these guys hooking up with the boys and girls of the schools, abusing finances), Richard Art Viguerie (pioneer of direct mail), Billy James Hargis (anti-communist preacher and segregationist, creator of the Christian Crusade, and founder of American Christian College who later had to resign for improper sexual relationships with both male and female students), Terry Dolan (founder and leader of the Christian Voice, oldest Christian lobby and the National Conservative Political Action Committee NCPAC…who was also outed as a homosexual frequently gay bars in Washington and died from AIDS). Richard Vigurie and Dolan, and Robert Grant persuaded Jerry Fallwell to start the Moral Majority. It gets really interesting when you mix in Salem Communications and how the echo chamber was built, however each org feeds into the other and then back to the origin.

Weyrich’s right hand man was Laszlo Pasztor, a former leader of the pro-Nazi Arrow Cross Party in Hungary that collaborated with Hitler’s Third Reich. After serving 2 years in prison, Laszlo found his way the US and was instrumental in establishing the ethnic-outreach arm of the RNC. In 1952, the GOP created the Ethnic Division, and in 1969, they created the Heritage Council of the group with Axis allies, apologists, and pro-Nazi supporters like Pasztor. Nixon even appointed him head of the council. Other Council members with Nazi ties were Radi Slavoff, Nicolas Nazarenko, Florian Galdau (a recruiter for the pro-Nazi Iron Guard). One of their main objectives was to eliminate the OSI, the anti-Nazi and hate crimes unit of the Justice Department. Quite nefariously, it continued….Reagan had his advisors invite Ivan Docheff- founder of the Nazi Youth group Bulgarian Legion and sign fundraising letters for white supremacist Roger Pearson. Reagan even travelled to Bitburg war cemetery and laid a wreath on the graves of 49 of Hitler’s Waffen SS, later defending it as claiming Nazi soldiers were victims too. Seriously.

They realized after Goldwater that they had to change their constituency. What better constituency than fundamentalist Christians who were growing at the time with the evangelical craze, televangelism, and fundamentalist Universities being created. They were trained on a weekly, if not daily basis, to deny what they saw with their own eyes, ignore any scientific data, and are much more likely to hold the prejudices needed to the new mobilization.

Reagan was swept in on the heels of this movement, and while he catered to this…he filled his ranks with only a few and instead populated most of the appointments with classical conservatives. They had messaging, after all of these years of honing it….supply side economics (trickle down theory), outspending the Russian in the Cold War, deregulation that they had been talking about since the 50s, deregulation of the finance market, fighting labor unions, and the Reagan Doctrine…promoting military, financial and diplomatic support for anti-Communist insurgencies. Their issue is they swept him into office, no doubt about that, but he downplayed their social issues, was somewhat of a supporter for immigration, and also appointed the first woman to the Supreme Court. By the time he was done and Bush was at the helm, they were incensed. Long story as to how, but they are the reason Bush Sr went down, directly. With the Reagan Revolution, they believed they’d have a GOP majority for years, though. Clinton, hailed as a liberal, was nearly a neo-conservative and took quite a few of their talking points away from them. Let’s not forget, Clinton is the one who signed the Defense of Marriage Act, welfare reform, the Newt Gingrich created and HW Bush initially signed trade deals like NAFTA and then GATT, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and financial and telecommunications deregulation (Gramm-Bliley Act) which eventually led to the Great Recession. There were defining lines they had worked on for years, and after holding everything for 12 years, they freaked the fuck out and attacked Clinton in a manner we hadn’t previously seen….essentially holding investigations for 6 years, starting with 1 thing and going through so many failures that they eventually got him for cumming on a chick’s dress and lying about cheating on his wife. Clinton benefitted from the Dot.Com craziness but the time frame was seen as quite a success…even to the point of having a budget surplus at the end of his Presidency.

In 1992, Paul Weyrich and the rest of the CNP acolytes had enough! They were exhausted at having built the entire infrastructure of the GOP only to have the GOP appoint more moderate, classical Republicans. Addressing the annual Conservative Leadership Conference, he stated: "This party will not survive" without the conservative movement, he told the audience of more than 100 attending the fourth annual Conservative Leadership Conference. "They had no victories in modern times without this movement. And they will have none, ever."In an interview after his speech, Weyrich said, "There is an effort now to suggest that conservatives are the problem." He argued that this post-election analysis will force the breakup of the GOP coalition if it leads to a policy that pulls back from strong support of antiabortion and other "family value" stands.

At the time, Vin Weber stated "We totally, completely gave away the Republican achievement of the Reagan years on the economy . . . the historic achievement of displacing" the GOP's image as "the party of Herbert Hoover and the Great Depression with an image of growth and prosperity.”

Right before W Bush, Weyrich lashed out stating they need to create their own institutions, that “holy means separate”, and that they have lost their culture war. He referenced the home schoolers as an example, literally separate institutions. He endorsed setting up private courts.

George W Bush was supposed to be their culmination….a born again! Long story short, his Presidency was a disaster in almost every measurable fashion imaginable.

All easily verified. Then again, you're the one trying to pass off Dennis Prager videos as history and bought into the fake twitter account a dog could spot was fake. You probably believe in furries in schools too

@Snuffleuffagus get your ghey ass in here and defend your sorry ass pedo party….
That's a curious statement coming from a person who has your avatar.

Let's remember, Trump is the only one who hung out with Epstein. Not Biden. Trump is the one with Maxwell and Epstein in dozens of pictures. Trump is the one highlighted and circled in his black book. Trump is the one who wished Maxwell good tidings during her trial for trafficking children. Trump is also the one who talked openly on Stern about walking in on pageant contestants at Miss Teen USA and watching them undress because he could. This is on video and audio and confirmed by several of the teenage contestants...that this grown man walked in and watched little girls get undressed.
In fact, let's delve a bit into your party, shall we?

Wasn't it GOPer Mark Foley who was nailing underaged pages in Congress?
Wasn't it GOPer and Speaker Dennis Hastert who was raping little boys and then bribing them to be quiet? Wasn't it Senate Majority Leader and GOPer Mitch McConnell who wrote to the judge on Hastert's behalf? I mean, Speaker of the House and serial child molester in the same sentence...wow.

LBJ had to enlist the help of GOP Senators to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964. 18 dem Senators from the South including Robert KKK Byrd, Al Gore Sr., William Fulbright (Clinton's mentor), and 1 repube, John Tower from Texas, filibustered the Act. The GOP Senators were so far in the minority, their votes only mattered because 18 dems were filibustering. Without the GOP votes cloture would not happen as 67 votes were needed at the time and the dems only had 44 to vote for ending the filibuster and 27 GOPs voted with the dems. Only 46 dems voted for its final passage. Again needing the GOP votes to pass it.

Well put, but.....

..........................who cares about the historical identity or either one.................it makes no difference for today and the BS that we see today. Who they were has no bearing on what they do now. What matters is that you follow what they say, becuase you honestly think they are right, not because of a name of a party.

The problem with the republican party is that they think they are conservatives, say they are, campaign they are, but are not. Republicans in congress are WEAK and Dems are IGNORANT.

But yet, ( as I am sure you will agree, no matter who is in office, the same realm of issues do exist)............this suggests what? Either they are equally ineffective, or they are on the same team.

Are you even a person of color??? Or just a white libtard riding the coattail of black folks? All you seem capable of is calling names! There isn't any substance to anything you say.
What are you advocating for? Individual liberty, or "blacks" I am not sure......please advise......because you cannot be advocating for both.
