Multiple people were killed when a
plane crashed at the Statesville Regional Airport in rural
North Carolina on Thursday morning, erupting into a large fire on the runway, according to the
Associated Press.
The plane was a Cessna C550 owned by GB Aviation Leasing. The address listed on the FAA registry for the plane matches an address for NASCAR star Greg Biffle in Mooresville, North Carolina,
Yahoo Sports has confirmed.
It is not known who may have been on the plane when it crashed.
