Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Governor Ron DeSantis just signed Executive Order 25-244, designating the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as foreign terrorist organizations in Florida:
"Florida agencies are hereby directed to undertake all lawful measures to prevent unlawful activities by these organizations, including denying privileges or resources to anyone providing material support."
Key findings from the order:
Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928 with the goal of establishing a "world-wide Islamic caliphate" through violence, assassinations, and terror attacks
Members of the Muslim Brotherhood created Hamas in 1987
The Palestine Committee, affiliated with Muslim Brotherhood, founded CAIR in 1994 as "an official U.S. cover representing the Islamic community" to conceal ties to extremist groups
CAIR was designated an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism-financing case in American history, with courts finding "ample evidence" of CAIR's association with terrorist organizations
Individuals associated with CAIR have been convicted of providing material support to designated terrorist organizations
The order directs Florida law enforcement to take all lawful measures to prevent unlawful activities and bars anyone who provided material support from receiving state contracts, employment, or benefits.
This follows Trump's Executive Order 14362 on November 24, 2025 initiating the federal process to designate Muslim Brotherhood chapters as foreign terrorist organizations.
