Grenada is considering a U.S. request to host temporary radar equipment and personnel at Maurice Bishop International Airport. The government is still weighing technical and safety concerns, and the decision is complicated by the 1983 U.S. invasion and the airport’s symbolic significance.
• Colombia remains the strongest partner, working closely with the United States on counter-narcotics, sanctions enforcement, and intelligence sharing, while also coordinating policy on the region’s largest population of Venezuelan refugees. Paraguay and Uruguay consistently vote with Washington at the OAS to isolate Maduro and support democratic transition efforts. Ecuador works with the United States on organized crime, Venezuelan gang activity, and sanctions evasion, and has been publicly critical of the regime.

Democrat policies in Massachusetts are weird.

U.S. liquefied natural gas exports are set to surge 40% this month — yet not a single cargo is headed to Massachusetts.

Abundant American natural gas sits just a few hundred miles away in Pennsylvania, but because of a tangle of regulations, the state instead pays to ship LNG across 2,200 miles of ocean, mostly from Trinidad and Tobago.

In 2023, the Everett Marine Terminal in Everett handled 87% of all LNG imported into the U.S. — and virtually every drop came from foreign suppliers.

Cheaper domestic shale gas could flow straight to New England homes and power plants through pipelines, but those projects remain stalled or outright blocked.

The result: America is now the world’s largest LNG exporter, while one of its own coldest regions still relies on tankers from the Caribbean.
