I can't seem to find it now, but I remember it, so I'll share it. Someone sent me a meme that said:
Charlie Kirk wasn't killed because he spoke. He was killed because our children listened.
Think about that.

Last night, a widow tucked in her two fatherless children because someone took Charlie Kirk’s life for debating college kids on campus.
This is our world now: where words are treated as weapons, and disagreement is met with death.
What they don’t realize is that this was a true turning point. Silencing a man’s voice doesn’t end the message it amplifies it. And the ripple of this moment will be felt far beyond the walls of that campus.

I have young kids, my 16 YO asked me about 6 months ago if I 'knew who Charlie Kirk was' and I of course said yes, explained that I listen to him often and watch a lot of his content. My daughter then admitted to being a fan because apparently his content started going viral, she started asking me about his views and content which opened up a lot of great dialogue that I didnt have to force. It just happend organically. I dont often watch or listen to podcasts around my kids, for the obvious reasons, but we all align in our values in this house and its no secret where I stand politically.

So needless to say today was tough. She mentioned a lot of her friends are upset, and that her boyfriend was angry. My advice to her was to keep it cool, dont escalate things and avoid confrontation in school (which didnt happen, thankfully).

I say all this to point out how Charlie Kirk was so damn influential, and the youth appeared to have a real authentic connection with him. He was literally on track to be the next JFK/Trump, and they took that from us.

Anyways, I'm up late and thinking too much. RIP Charlie Kirk.
