Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Years ago I heard a sermon where the pastor said "There are many of you here today. Mothers, fathers, Sunday school teachers, nursery helpers, youth leaders, elders, and deacons who will stand before God someday and hear the following:
"Away from me you evildoers. I never knew you!’”
He went on to talk about how lip service and looking good on the outside doesn't cut it. A personal relationship with Jesus claiming Him as Lord and Savior is necessary.
That sermon hit me hard. It's one I really need to remember all the time. James 7:23.

I was walking my son’s 90lb Golden around the block and ran into new neighbors who just moved into the neighborhood a couple of months ago. Both wearing masks and each had a small dog on a leash. I moved to the other side of the street about 40 yards away and both of their dogs went berserk when they saw the Golden. She dropped her yeti and started yelling at the dog for several minutes. I just smiled as we passed by. I’ll wear my MAGA hat next time. Fkn weird people
