One of the best never missed an episode even my folks thought it was hilarious
The housing crash was the result of obama telling blacks they could buy $500k homes with 0 downpayment while making $45k a year.
It was a huge winfall for me, bought my house for half of what it sold new for 4 years earlier and now it is worth double what it sold new for. Tripled my investment. 2010 bank foreclosure with first time home buyers tax credit so got an extra 8k the next tax return
I got that 8k credit tho
The large increases in tuition and costs just happened to coincide with the government's implementation of Pell Grants and other financial aid. "If the gov't is going to inject funding into college economics, then we'll expand like crazy and raise costs so the gov't will give us more." - college presidents.
As we've seen exposed recently, there was nobody even looking at the applications. They were rubber stamping every request for payment as it came in.
Same flipped when we should have rented instead.
I was flipping houses then. I saw a larger number of loan documents where the buyer had multiple loans funding the purchase price and had balloon notes after 30 years of making payments still owning almost the entire original purchase price.
