Anyone here take creatine monohydrate supplements for brain health/energy production? I have taken a 5 gram scoop with my workout drink for better workouts. I'm watching a video about taking a higher does (15-20 grams) for brain health and energy production. I've been told that with creatine, you must drink A LOT of water to flush it out of your kidneys because it can accumulate in the kidneys and do damage, so taking 20 grams seems crazy. Seeing that I'm feeling like a fvcking slug today and have no motivation to workout, I am more interested in learning about this.


Been taking 5 grams daily for about 30 years at this point. I volley between pure mono and HMB. Mono is better for me for water volume cell retention but causes minor bloating. The HMB is fine but it seems more mild, so if I’m bulking I’ll go mono and if I’m cutting I’ll go HMB. To your question, I think the HMB will plateau better around 5g but the mono will have a more linear effect as you surpass 5g. If I’m doing mono I’ll sneak in another 5g per day when I think about it, but it’s not something I kill myself over if I forget. The ultimate goal is to saturate the body tissues with the creatine supplement - and every person is different. Some may need 7g, some 2g. Grab a notebook and start experimenting. The great thing about creatine at this point in time, is there has never been (and probably never will be) a more researched muscle-building supplement in the history of time. It’s a very safe and critical supplement for physical health. It should be in the water supply,..
 
Woke up and can’t go back to sleep either Fucking hate the fact that I only sleep about 4 to 5 hours a day. I’m trying to sleep more. They say sleep is what repairs the body.
That is what I get normally. The past yr i was getting 6-10no problem. But I was recovering from all the crapvi had go on end of 23 w arm and 2024 w spleen removal. I think it is a gauge so to speak as to how healthy you are. As in you don't need a lot of repair right now.
I've had issues with insomnia since 13 now 52. I just keep trudging. When I need sleep that bad I'll fall asleep. If I go a couple days 3rd night these days I'll down a 6pack.(was 18pack)
It is also pretty know as you get older you require less sleep up until you're old enough to catch nap 20hrs a day.
Don't stress over it. Putting pressure on yourself to sleep well never get you where you want to go.
Low magnesium makes you toss turn and wake up easily.fyi. if you have that magnesium glycinate 500mg does the trick for me. Also an amino called glycime 1000.
