The home builders are buying every piece of vacant land in the area and building multi-thousand home developments on them. Yesterday, a 3000 home site east of Dallas was announced. In my area there are probably 15-20 home sites with huge numbers of homes being built.
You can't drive anywhere in DFW without sitting in traffic with road construction. That's mostly on freeways. Side streets are in desperate need of repair. Beats the Hell out of your vehicle driving on them.
Same with the outskirts/suburbs of Houston.

There are many videos on YT showing policemen and others (CPS) coming to people's doors unannounced and without warrants. Many people refuse to open their doors and yell through the door or use their audio devices. When some people open their doors, the policeman puts his foot in the door so it won't close. When the homeowner moves the officers foot, they are arrested for assaulting a LEO. Ergo, I don't open my doors for anyone until I know who they are and why they are there. I also make them stand 10 feet away from my door before I will open it. But, I've only has police at my house once in 39 years and that was after I was robbed.
The SCOTUS has ruled people have a right to videotape LEOs as long as they are on public property. However, they must remain at a distance. Amazing the number of LEOs who go out of their way to instigate "interfering with an investigation" threats to the videographers. Some get arrested and some don't. Usually it takes a supervisor officer to inform the junior officers of the constitutional right to record them. Many refuse to give their names and badge numbers. What really pisses the LEOs off is videoing of police departments and the squad cars. Many are told they are on private property when they are standing on public sidewalks. Aren't PDs and gov't buildings public property paid for by taxpayers?

The Houthis are very much still there. I saw an interview with an SF guy worked over there for some hits and he was saying an arab force is going to have to go in to clear them out because the caves, cliffs and valleys there make afghanistan look like Kansas.
