If the republicans were smart, which they are not, or wanted to be effective, which they don’t, they would blitz the news cycle with talk of invalidating anything Biden didn’t actually sign himself. Focus the media and legal challenges on this. Then proceed with the agenda in the background.

Of course republicans are trying to help the democrats run the clock out on the Trump presidency again, so they won’t.

Or just keep their lawyers draining money. The more they use in court the less they can spend on campaigns and ads.

First, this was not a block on Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act. It was simply a punt and an effort to tie it up a bit longer. Instead of just being men, they punted it back to the Fifth Circuit.

It could be 48 hours, it could be 7 days, it could be 90 days. We shall see.

What would I do? Very simple.If I was Trump and @StephenM, I would immediately notify every illegal immigrant possible. A blanket notification for everyone we want to deport under the Alien Enemies Act.

Start the clock tomorrow on whatever length of time the Fifth Circuit ends up deciding on.
