Should add to this. Australia has bouys in the Indian ocean measuring tons of data. One saw a drop in water depth of over 100ft and was taken off line for repairs. I tend to agree. The Saudis knew where he was going after his visit. Yet, still decided to roll out the red carpet. The old world alliances are breaking apart and we are witnessing it in real time.
True Story. 1930 on a Friday Night in Qatar, which is a Qatari Saturday night, get a phone call from the Qatari Deputy Sec Def that he is on his way to see the "pictures" of the Saudi/Qatari Border. We have no idea what he is talking about, but in he comes in his thobes, which is very out of place but he must have been partying when Al-Thani called and asked him to go find out what's up. So in he walks and demands to see the picture of the border cause he heard the Saudi's were massing with tanks to roll on Doha. As he talked to the 2 Star the rest of us were in shock that one, he thought we were watching his border, and two that the Saudi's were going to amass and roll without us knowing weeks in advance (and that we wouldn't have told them). He left in a huff with no pictures and us laughing after he walked out the door.
