This is what bothers me about you. You show up once in a blue moon and do these drive by posts consecutively. No rationale. No explanation. No articulate rebuttal.

Just I’m some big fancy pants lawyer living in Colorado that knows everything so just trust the plan.

Seriously, go fuck yourself.
You want me to spend any amount of time to explain that trying to bury the types of electric transmission lines that would prevent massive outages in hurricanes wouldn't cause your electric bills to quadruple? Someone needs to go fuck themselves. But it isn't me. I can't believe even a few of you went down this path.

If you want a dissertation about what comprises every bit of your electric bill, I can do that. But one component is the cost of keeping the grid running at a reasonable level of reliability. Burying the high voltage transmission system to prevent a few days of outages every few years would literally quadruple your annual utility bill. Probably more. Burying your neighborhood distribution lines is simple. Burying a 345kV transmission line that feeds cities is like building an underground subway across an entire state.

But, fuck me, right?

Global Wars, Depressions, Defaults and Debt Crisis Begin in 2025 - Martin Armstrong

Legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong is back with an avalanche of problems coming to the world starting in 2025. Depressions, defaults, debt crises and wars are going to sweep the globe, according to Armstrong and his “Socrates” predictive computer program. Armstrong has called every big economic turn in the past three decades. He predicted Trump would win the 2024 Presidential Election in a landslide many months ahead of November.

Armstrong called the huge stock crash of 1987 to the day. He predicted the dot com boom and bust in 2000. He was spot on calling for the Great Recession of 2008 and 2009, and now, we are headed for more big turns. Armstrong says, “The last one turned on May 7th of last year. That was the same day Putin had his inauguration, and it was the same day a couple of Ukrainian colonels tried to assassinate Zelensky.

From there, we are turning down into a global recession, which won’t bottom until about 2028. Central banks started cutting rates right after that, and I think Canada was the first. It’s going to be more of a depression in Europe, a very sharp recession in China, and it won’t be as bad in the United States. . . . When you create a debt crisis, that’s what causes a depression. The stock market going down is the least damage to an economy.” (more…)

GROK: The claim that the military arrested FEMA Deputy Administrator Erik Hooks on charges of treason originates from a Real Raw News article dated August 22, 2023, which states Hooks was arrested for allegedly interfering with FEMA's response to the Maui wildfires.

Real Raw News is a known satire and parody website, explicitly stating its content is for "informational and educational entertainment purposes" and includes "humor, parody, and satire," meaning the story is not factual.

Multiple fact-checking organizations, including the Associated Press, Reuters, and PolitiFact, have debunked the claim, confirming Hooks was not arrested and that the story is false.

Erik Hooks has been active in his role, addressing business leaders in Hawaii about FEMA's recovery efforts for the Maui wildfires, as noted in a FEMA.gov update.

FEMA has faced real criticisms and rumors, such as an agency official instructing workers to skip homes with Trump signs during hurricane response in 2024, which Snopes confirmed as true, but no verified arrests of FEMA leadership have been reported in 2025.

The Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the military from making arrests on U.S. soil for domestic law enforcement, further casting doubt on the claim's plausibility.

I agree with all you said. Overall, local power lines on poles is cheap and sustainable. Its not the high winds and weather that break the lines. It is the trees around them. The cities have become such liberal tree huggers that they wont let the power company trim or remove trees near power lines. The same liberals that support this want power lines buried. As @Jayhox mentioned, this raises the cost to the home owners bill. Only the rich can afford it and the others move further outside the city. Then the liberals complain about the cost of living……

No liberal thinks long term. They don't plan. They just scream the loudest and the sheep consume it as gospel. “Because it makes me feel good to help.”

Odds it was a female that did the punching of holes...?

Might also have been a female target. Either way, it's no different than planting a device to kill or maim, setting a booby trap and could be construed as terrorism. If the target got infected, it could be days before symptoms appeared and many others would be exposed in the interim.

Agent Waltz?

by Daniel McAdams | May 3, 2025

The Washington Post is reporting today that recently-ousted National Security Advisor Mike Waltz may have been involved in activities even more nefarious than inviting journalists onto highly sensitive Signal group chats. It appears that what really angered President Trump is less Waltz’s incompetence (or worse) in keeping sensitive military communications secure, but rather his taking an active role in doing the bidding of a foreign government.

As the Post reported, in advance of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s February visit to the United States the US National Security Advisor to President Trump…

…appeared to have engaged in intense coordination with Netanyahu about military options against Iran ahead of an Oval Office meeting between the Israeli leader and Trump, the two people said.
