Police have not said what exactly caused the wreck, but the Dodge Ram truck was traveling west while the Mercedes van was traveling east toward Yellowstone when it happened. Video from the scene showed clear weather conditions at the time.
Both vehicles caught fire, police said. The driver of the pickup and six people inside the Mercedes passenger van died. The truck driver was identified Friday as Isaih Moreno, 25, of Humble, Texas. Identifying the others will take some time, according to police.

Doesn't surprise me about unemployment insurance. I've seen people in stores buying all sorts of stuff that isn't food and whipping out a food stamps card to pay. When the cashier tells them some items don't qualify, they pull out a credit (not debit) card and pay for the rest. Then go out to a late model SUV and climb in. If one is on food stamps, how can they qualify for a credit card and drive a SUV? The answer, at least in Texas, is you can apply online and get approved in a few minutes. There are a limited number of inspectors for the state so nobody checks. No verification required.
