As I get more comfortable/familiar with how I can utilize them, I'm going to really take advantage. I'm liking the comparison aspect for my day job to help my people push our products over our competitors. Also had it analyze the houses we're selling and how they look to an investor based on different price points.

Also using it to help me design an Excel sheet to streamline the ordering process. Asked it a question, got a good response. Asked it to clarify and it did. Going to sit down this afternoon and see if I can assemble it.

Like I told my people Monday: "It's gonna enslave us eventually, but we might as well take advantage while we can".
Forgot I actually also have a paid version of Beautiful.ai. You can drop in a cut and paste document and it will iterate a slide deck that is 95% ready for use in presentations, bullet points, summaries, unique graphics/icons and all. If you do a lot of presentations it is well worth the $200.

I do NOT have an X account and i wanted to play around with the free version of Grok. So i downloaded the Grok app. It is free but $30 a month to upgrade to Grok 3.

I asked a couple questions and the answers were good. Then i realized i had a question for my pool guy. I researched via google and the local pool supply store and have been frustrated. No good answers. Well shit, let me try that question on grok app.

Here is the question:

How can i program a unused button on my goldline model #AGL2-WW-PS-8 control panel?

The answer was:

[
To program an unused button on your Goldline (Hayward) AQL2-WW-PS-8 wired remote display/keypad for a Pro Logic or Aqua Plus PS-8 system, follow these general steps. Note that the AQL2-WW-PS-8 is a wired remote display, and programming options depend on the main control system’s configuration. Here’s how you can proceed:

Steps to Program an Unused Button:

  1. Understand the System Capabilities:
    • The AQL2-WW-PS-8 remote allows control of various pool and spa functions, such as filter pumps, lights, heaters, auxiliary outputs (Aux), and valves.
    • Unused buttons (e.g., Aux buttons) can typically be programmed to control additional equipment, like extra pumps, lights, or features like Super Chlorinate, depending on your system’s configuration.
    • Refer to the Pro Logic or Aqua Plus operation manual for specific programming options.
  2. Access the Configuration Menu:
    • On the AQL2-WW-PS-8 remote, press the “Menu” button to enter the main menu.
    • Navigate to the “Configuration Menu” using the arrow buttons. You may need to press the “>” or “<” buttons to scroll through options.
    • Note: The Configuration Menu may be locked by default for safety. If locked, you will need to unlock it:
      • Press and hold the “<” and “>” buttons simultaneously for a few seconds until the display indicates the menu is unlocked.
  3. Select the Aux or Button to Program:
    • Once in the Configuration Menu, scroll to the “Aux” or “Button” programming section (e.g., Aux1, Aux2, etc.).
    • Select the unused button you want to program. For example, if Aux3 is unused, select “Aux3 Config.”
  4. Assign a Function to the Button:
    • After selecting the button, you will see options to assign a function. Common functions include:
      • Lights: Assign to control additional lighting circuits.
      • Auxiliary Equipment: Assign to control extra pumps, fountains, or other equipment wired to the corresponding relay.
      • Super Chlorinate: Assign to start a Super Chlorinate cycle with one button press.
      • Valve Control: Assign to control additional valve actuators (e.g., Valve3 or Valve4).
      • Group Function: Assign to control multiple outputs simultaneously (if supported by your system).
    • Use the “+” or “-” buttons to select the desired function.
    • If the function requires additional settings (e.g., timers or interlocks), configure them as needed.
  5. Save the Configuration:
    • After assigning the function, press the “Menu” button to save and exit the configuration for that button.
    • Repeat the process for other unused buttons if necessary.
  6. Test the Button:
    • Return to the default display on the remote.
    • Press the newly programmed button to test its functionality. Ensure it activates the intended equipment or feature.
  7. Lock the Configuration Menu (Optional):
    • If you want to prevent accidental changes, lock the Configuration Menu by pressing and holding the “<” and “>” buttons again until the display indicates it is locked.

Additional Notes:

  • System Limitations:
    • The AQL2-WW-PS-8 is designed for Pro Logic and Aqua Plus PS-8 systems, which support up to 8 relays. Ensure the equipment you want to control is wired to an available relay on the main control board.
    • If the button you want to program is not responding, check the wiring between the remote and the main control unit. The remote uses 4-conductor low-voltage wires, and loose connections can cause issues.
    • Some advanced features (e.g., variable speed pump control, solar heating) may require additional configuration or hardware.
  • Manual Reference:
    • For detailed instructions, refer to the Pro Logic or Aqua Plus operation manual (e.g., PL-PS-8 Operation Manual). These manuals provide specific guidance on programming buttons and configuring outputs.
    • You can find these manuals online at Hayward’s official website or pool supply websites.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • If the button does not work after programming, ensure the corresponding relay is wired correctly and that the equipment is functioning.
    • Check the main control board for error messages or firmware issues. You may need to update the firmware or contact Hayward technical support (1-908-355-7995) for assistance.
  • Advanced Programming:
    • If you want to program the button for a custom function (e.g., group control or integration with external devices), you may need to consult a pool professional or refer to the system’s advanced configuration options.

Safety Precautions:

  • Ensure all electrical work is performed by a qualified professional, as the main control board involves high-voltage connections.
  • Disconnect power to the system before making any wiring changes.

If you need further assistance or specific programming details, let me know, and I can help guide you through the process!

I tried it and it worked. I am very impressed.

Grok is incredible. I find myself using it for everything lately.

Good news from Greenland! Elections were held yesterday, and Naleraq, a nationalist party that has the most pro-USA politicians in Greenland, had its best ever result and doubled its overall support.

Greenland's legislature is strictly proportional, and a conservative, more pro-Denmark, more pro-gradual independence party got first overall, so they are a long way from joining America, but things are headed in the right direction.

Greenland has the right to decide its own future, but our message from America is this: We want to partner with you, and it will make both of our nations richer, happier, and more secure.

And here it is:

DNA CONFIRMS BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT

— that the illegal alien, Ilhan Omar, did marry her brother and said she would ‘do what she had to do to get him “papers”’ to keep him in the U.S. and attend college. And the most powerful and corrupt law enforcement institution on the planet, the FBI, covered it up.

Now, arrest and force the disappearance of @Ilhan at once, for the crimes of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, tax fraud, student loan fraud, bigamy, incest, terrorism and defrauding the United States government.

Until now, the bitch had been protected. But not any more, @Kash_Patel

It should be illegal for Congressmen to hire FMOTC's (family members of the Congressman) or FBOTC's (fuck buddies of the Congressman) to provide security or be staff members or anything else. It won't be as so many on both sides of the aisle are doing this and more to pad their salaries and rip-off taxpayers. Included in this are family members who are heads of non-profit NGOs.

My niece is a teacher and said every student in her school is using AI to write all their papers already. Supposedly if you ask it to rewrite it 4 times teachers can't even use search functions to tell it's AI. We have amazing tools and we are going to have some absolute idiots using it in the future. LOL

they're already pretty stupid... just ask one to tell the time using a dial clock, or add simple numbers in their head.
